Updates to Mileage Plan System Require Temporary Systemwide Outage
In a constant effort to improve your experience with us, we are making some major changes to our Mileage Plan system in the coming months.
Our Mileage Plan system will be unavailable for several days, effective April 14, 2008, to complete a major upgrade. During the outage, which affects our call centers and airports as well as alaskaair.com, you will not be able to perform many Mileage Plan related activities. By providing advance notice we hope you will be able to plan ahead and therefore be minimally impacted.
During the outage you will not be able to perform the following activities:
- Redeem miles for an award ticket
- Change or reissue an award ticket
- Request mileage credit for prior travel
- Request a mileage upgrade
- Access GOLD/MVP preferred seating online
- Check your mileage Balance / Tier Status Accrual
- Buy miles, gift miles, transfer miles, or donate miles
- Update your personal account information
- Create a My Account/Enroll in Mileage Plan
- Enroll in EasyBiz
- Purchase or renew a Boardroom membership
During the outage you will be able to perform the following activities:
- Fly on an award ticket
- Fly on an upgraded ticket
- Earn miles
- Purchase a revenue ticket
- Use a Discount Code/companion certificate
- Use the Boardroom
- Clear an upgrade waitlist
- Use a paper upgrade certificate
We expect the upgrade to be complete no later than April 22, 2008, after which time you will have full access to your Mileage Plan account.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
