I have been a faithful USAirways customer for over 8 years - with little to no disruption in services. Over the past 2 months, I have had nothing but trouble from flight cancellations on international flights and refusal to return my awards points, to major delays and HORRIBLE customer service. I have over 250K miles in the past year and a half with USAirways and if the HORRIBLE customer service and flight cancellations continue, I will gladly take my business to another airline that respects my loyalty and time. USAirways - remember customers have a choice when flying and we do not need to put up with missed business opportunities, flight delays, and HORRIBLE customer service.

I have been a FF on USAIR for 3 years now fromLAS. I chose USAIR to be my go to airline given the ease of elite upgrades. I have had few problems, delays, etc over the 3 years but each time Customer Service was exceptional. I recently had to fly CO/United to the east coast and forgot how uncomfortable flying without status can be. I agree the fleet needs to be upgraded but they get me where I want to go and on time. I love CLT as a hub and PHX is not bad either. My husband has had no trouble redeeming points for transcon first class flights any of the times he has flown. USAIR will continue to get my business from LAS as none of the others have impressed me with their award programs. I would like to see the option of one way point redemption but for now.. I am pleased with my decision to stay with USAIR.

Don't try to book an International reward and expect to get there when you like. The low level awards are sparse and scattered. You can earn
miles that are basically useless so there is no point. Some domestic awards are available at a lower level but the way the low level awards are scattered all over the site it is almost like a PacMan game trying to get any value out of the points.

Many of the reviews on this site for US are either quite exaggerated or they are from years ago. US has vastly improved from the airline that used to charge for water. Their automatic domestic upgrades for elites is a huge reason I like them. Also, their schedules are quite good. While Philly and Phoenix aren't my favorites, I think Charlotte is one of my favorite hubs in the country. I would give them another chance if you haven't flown them recently.

I fly a lot for business. Since I am out of the west coast and fly mainly up and down the west coast with hitting some major cities in the south, I have few options. The primary airline in my ares is Southwest which is NOT for the business traveler. I have been with USAirways ever since I moved out here and so far (6 years) they have been top notch. Any frequent traveler knows some days are better than others, but they really have gone out of their way to help me out of a few jams I have had in my day. I recommend always trying to connect through Charlotte rather than Philly for any flight, as I have had more delays out of Philly than anywhere else. Prices are usually always competitive but I agree they need to update some of their dated fleet. It can be hit or miss sometimes.
Earning points is easy with partners and my BoA bank card. When booking award travel they can hit you for booking fees if over the phone or make you take a mandatory upgrade which costs more miles. Best to plan ahead and book online. Overall a happy traveler with USAirways.

Earning while flying economy is easy. They often have good promotions that will increase your earnings. They also do high earning promotions with non-airline partners. You have to call them to redeem for partner flight, but the prices are fair (less than United more than Air Canada).

Constantly have problems with this airline. After the last fiasco I have switched off them for good. Rarely do I get where I am going on time, and its usually 50/50 if the flights are cancelled.

My complaints with US Airways are the same complaints I have with any other airline. Unfortunately, it is out of their power to fix the problems. The majority of flight delays and problems are either directly or indirectly a result of over regulation. All in all, their performance ratings are typically better then most other carriers.

I have had much better interactions with US than with United or Delta/NW. Other airlines have very limited choices from my area. I am a Dividends Gold member and a member of the US Airways Club; the Star Alliance adds significant value to both the frequent flier program and the club membership.

US Airways is an excellent airline and their reward program has by far the best benefits of any American carrier. They also have the easiest Star Alliance award redemptions and lowest levels of any Star Alliance member airline.

I have Chairman's status and I get upgraded nearly every time. It's a pain to fly cross country from BDL since they've cut back on their routes. The website used to be great, but they just revamped it and the new one is awful...and slow too!

I will never fly US Airways again either unless my company pays for it. Horrible, horrible, horrible service and fees for EVERYTHING. My husband and I flew our 4 children out to Hawaii and we had 4 layovers. Our first connection was 6 hours late, then they lost our bags... including a wedding dress! The trip is normally 12-16 hours, ours was 30. My poor daughter was pregnent and was sick as hell by the time we got to Hawaii. We spent over $500 to get us through until our bags were found... 4 days later. When I complaind to USAir, I got a voucher for $300 off my next flight and it was only good for 1 year. You know what they can do with thier voucher!

US Airways really is the bottom feeder of the major carriers. Every plane I have been on (even in First Class) is rather dirty and in dire need of repair. It's also not only the ancient Boeings in the fleet...it's usually one of Doug Parker's beloved new Airbuses. I honestly feel bad for US Airways employees since they have to deal with irate customers all day long. Every flight I have taken with them in the past few years has been late or cancelled -leaving me stranded often at critical times. I am only acquiring miles through non-airline vendors in this program until I get enough for a free ticket...which I will then use to get a ticket on a Star Alliance carrier. I certainly hope that if US Airways does merge with United, that United staffers remain in charge!

The service in airport is deplorable - those poor people are so overworked. The flights are rarely on time and are usually crammed. Using points is hardly worth the effort because it takes so many to get one flight.
