Citi ThankYou® Rewards is running a promotion giving you a 25% bonus on transfers of Citi ThankYou points to JetBlue. The promo runs through October 25, 2017. While this promotion is not as generous as the promotion from March this year, which offered a 50% bonus, it is nevertheless still reasonably valuable.
Which Citi ThankYou Cards Are Eligible
Bonus TrueBlue Points Offer is valid for Points Transfers completed between 9/7/17 12:00 AM ET and 10/25/17 11:59 PM ET.
- Citi Premier® Card
- Citi Prestige® Card (Card no longer accepting applications)
- Citi Chairman® Card (Card no longer accepting applications)
- Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card (Card no longer accepting applications)
- Citi Forward® Card (Card no longer accepting applications)
For the Bonus TrueBlue points offer, you will receive 1.25 TrueBlue points for every 2 ThankYou Points transferred during the promotional period listed above. That is 0.25 Bonus TrueBlue points in addition to the base redemption rate of 2 ThankYou Points to 1 TrueBlue point, for a total of 1.25 TrueBlue points. For example, if you transfer 1,000 ThankYou Points, you will receive a total of 625 TrueBlue points.
Value For Your Points
How valuable this bonus is depends on your travel plans; while it is generally not recommended to transfer points speculatively since you cut down on their flexibility, if you are a few thousand points short of an award redemption then this transfer bonus is good news, on the other hand, if you are just trying to build up your TrueBlue points balance, then you have some better options like the JetBlue Plus Card.
Overall
Ever since Citi ThankYou® Rewards added JetBlue as a transfer partner, we've debated the value of transferring your points over at the current ratios. Ultimately whether you choose to make a transfer will depend on a case by case basis on what you achieve by making the transfer.

Anyone know if this is the highest bonus for transfers to JetBlue or whether there are usually better offers later in the year? Need to save up for trip next year, trying to decide whether to transfer now or wait.
Currently, yes. We mentioned the 50% bonus that was in place previously, but we don’t know if that’ll come back.
I’ve been more impressed with JetBlue lately. This is a helpful bonus.
Great offer!
Thanks for posting
I’m guessing this is a good way to use TYP?
As we point out in the article, it all depends on your specific needs.
I’m liking this offer, thanks for posting!
JetBlue bonus is back. Thanks.
Do you think the 50% offer will return? I have some TY points which I’m in no rush to redeem.
Your guess is as good as ours.
A lovely offer, thanks for the heads up.
This promotion came in good time despite the not-so-generous bonus.
Is award seat availability generally good for Jet Blue?
JetBlue award seats are available as long as a seat is available for sale. The number of TrueBlue points requires is directly correlated to the cash cost of the ticket.
Yes it’s not as generous as before but none the less it’s still a bonus!
thanks the tip – true blue program provides relative good value
Thank you for the informative article. I’m going to have to consider collecting Thankyou points as I transfer my collecting from airline specific points to transferable points. I like JetBlue but for now I’m going have to keep earning their points through shopping on Amazon.
Looks like a great deal!
