See you next year, same weekend (Oct 18 – 20, 2019!)
Next month will bring the 9th annual Chicago Seminars back to Elk Grove Village, Illinois (right outside of Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD)), the largest and longest running gathering of points and miles enthusiasts in the world.
If you're looking to book your first award ticket, identify the best airline sweet spots that no one talks about, or simply want the opportunity to meet some of the most genuine people that'll help you achieve your travel goals — this is the event.
AwardWallet proudly sponsors the Chicago Seminars — every attendee will receive a code for a free 6 months of AwardWallet Plus.
There will be over a dozen speakers covering various topics, and we've even set up several “Ask Me Anything” sessions so that you can get your specific questions answered.
The AwardWallet and Award Travel 101 team will all be in attendance: Howie (me — the event organizer), Richard (Runs our Facebook Community, and Toni (One of our Facebook Community Moderators) will all be speaking at the event. (Full Event Schedule)

I already have a conference that weekend but if it were free, I’d certainly have loved to attend. It would be fun to meet some of the people from whom I have learned so much, both moderators and other posters. The timing (towards the end of the year) is also good: It would have worked out as a mini mileage-run. Hopefully next year I will be free to attend.
I’ll join you next year – promise!
Some day I will make it to one of these!
One of the best way to learn if your serious into the points. Wish I had done so when I first started
Can’t believe that it is has been that long. Next year is going to be a big one!
This sounds great. Might check into trying to make it!
I did not know about this fascinating event.
I can’t attend. Is there any way to podcast the proceedings?
Sorry, none of the sessions are recorded or broadcasted.
Sounds fun! Wish I could go!
Lots of good info for the newcomers and a chance to learn more for the veterans. Plus there’s the socializing with other travel geeks in the restaurant bar where you’ll probably learn other tricks.
I’m currently sitting in Iceland writing this courtesy of points and miles learned over the years from this and other blogs. Looking forward to seeing you again in October Howie.
Thanks, Bill! See you in October!
Quite the endorsement of the event! Especially, the reference to the importance of visiting the restaurant bar!
I’m checking my schedule! This sounds like an awesome opportunity!
It most definitely is 🙂
