Citi Sending Out Bonus Spend Reminders

A few weeks ago my brother was approved for a Citi Premier Card. He was away when the card came in the mail and took him a couple of weeks to finally activate the card. He’ll meet his minimum spend requirement without issue, but today he received an email from Citi reminding him about his bonus and timeline to meet the spend requirement to receive that bonus.

Partial Reprieve For Citi Price Rewind Through 2018

Citicard members have won a partial reprieve on the reduction of Citi’s Price rewind benefit. In May, Citi had announced that effective July 29, 2018, the following price rewind benefit would change but they have delayed the max from $2500 to $1000 change until 2019.

Devaluation Of Citi Price Rewind Benefit (Price Protection)

Doctor of Credit has confirmed with Citi that they are devaluing their price protection, by reducing the benefits of their Citi Price Rewind. The new rules will come into effect July 29, 2018. The move topples Citi from near top of the price protection benefit and comes as a further disappointment after Chase dropped its price protection recently.

Maximizing the Citi Prestige $250 Travel Credit

Despite the mid-year announcement of adverse changes to the Citi Prestige® Card, the card still has serious appeal. With standout features like the 4th-night free when booking a hotel through Citi Concierge, an annual $250 airline travel credit, 3X points on airfare & hotels, and 2X points on dining & entertainment, the Prestige Card consistently ranks as one of the best premium travel rewards credit cards on the market.
