Is it Worth It?
There is some value in this promotion. When you compare the promo with the unofficial Delta SkyMiles award chart, the typical price for a low-level Economy round trip to Europe will set you back 60,000 SkyMiles plus taxes and fees. This flash sale gives you an effective 20% discount on these awards.
Our Take
A Delta award flash sale can be a nice savings if your timing works out. While a 20% discount on the regular low-level prices is not earth-shattering, nevertheless it does represent decent values especially if you are looking for a Delta flight to London during the promotion period. Remember if you are short a few SkyMiles for an award, you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards to Delta SkyMiles.

Finally I managed to use miles on something I wanted!
Great to hear!
Thanks, I didn’t know flash sales were being offered with Delta!
too bad I missed it- great deal!
I dream of going to London! But other things have popped up and prevented me going so far. I’ve had to put it on hold. Maybe finally for another anniversary down the line or piggy back on an educational trip with one of my kids.
For business, is it best to go thru American (I live in the dfw area) or BA and then book American? I’d love to have nonstop but IAh is not so bad, so I’ve been looking at United too. We have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, several airlines are options. Though American has just announced Iceland!! That might be more interesting than London?
just missed it
🙁
Delta is the one program I haven’t signed up with yet. I’m still unsure if it’s worth it.
Great deal, sadly can’t seem to find dates now 🙁 Hope there are more promos soon.
I hope a lot of people were able to grab the itinerary they wanted. We missed out at our house. 🙁
They also started a great sale for a RT ticket from GRU to MIA from $450 in economy class. Its a good opportunity for South Americans to go to the US during Black Friday.
I hope they do this often. Trying to use up the 50k I got when I had the AMEX.
thank you!
Too bad this offer does not include additional European cities.
yes! why just london???
Didn’t know there were flash sales with SkyMiles, thanks!
Is this promotion only for economy class?
As the article states, yes, main cabin only.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll be checking this out.
Definitely worse deals out there. I know we love to make fun of SkyMiles, but sometimes there is value.
Thank you very, very much for this information.
Looks like a night full of date crunching up ahead
