The Bottom Line
Is this the best hotel deal or even the best way to earn hotel points? No, but if you are already planning a trip where a Choice Hotel is an option, then it is well worth looking at. In fact, even if in the long term you are not planning on using the points at Choice Hotels, there are several options for transferring them to partners, including Southwest Airlines, where they will qualify towards your companion pass.
