If you're looking to add up to 20,000 Virgin Atlantic points to your Flying Club balance, you're in luck with this current promotion. And the eligible travel period is gracious, to say the least — through May 31, 2024. The booking window? Not so much. You've got until September 4 to book your trip.

Here's a look at how you can score up to 20k bonus points with this Virgin Atlantic promotion.

Virgin Atlantic Promotion for Up to 20k Points

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club has some incredible sweet spots, and the airline has been on a tear lately, adding new rules for access to its flagship lounge in London, adding an award seat calendar, online bookings for LATAM awards, and even a flash sale back in June. Now, Virgin Atlantic is offering up to 20,000 bonus points with a promotion for round-trip flights over the next several months.

Notice that this is “up to” 20k points. How much you earn will depend on the cabin you fly in:

  • Upper Class (business class): 20,000 bonus points
  • Premium Economy: 10,000 bonus points
  • Economy: 5,000 bonus points

Our Take

This promotion is great for anyone already planning to travel with Virgin Atlantic, as you'll be able to add bonus points to reservations you were going to make anyway. For others, there are numerous restrictions to consider: needing to book Virgin Atlantic flights only, getting just half the points for one-way bookings, and the exclusion of the cheapest economy fares. How much are the points worth? AwardWallet users typically redeem Virgin points at 4.96¢ each.

It's probably not worth altering your travel plans to go out of your way for these points. If the promotion aligns with travel plans you were ready to book, then this could be a great offer.
