The airport lounge space has been heating up in recent years thanks to the addition of lounges operated by card issuers. This includes American Express Centurion Lounge<\/a> offerings as well as the Capital One Lounge<\/a> in Dallas. Chase had already joined the fray with its launch of the Sapphire Terrace in Austin<\/a> and the debut of its international location in Hong Kong. Now, the very first domestic Chase Sapphire Lounge will open in Boston on May 16, 2023<\/strong> \u2014 and we got the very first look.<\/p>\n

Here's a tour inside the new lounge to show you what you can expect from the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston.<\/p>\n

Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston Hours<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club Boston will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Unlimited access is granted to those who hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> (Rates & Fees<\/a>) card with a Priority Pass membership. Cardholders are also able to bring up to two guests for free.<\/p>\n

Travelers with Priority Pass lounge<\/a> memberships from other cards are able to enter one Sapphire Lounge location per calendar year at no charge. Subsequent entries will cost $100 for a day pass, which is steep.<\/p>\n

Location of the Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club in Boston is located in the newly-opened connector between terminals B and C. Originally opened in August 2022, the connector itself is still fairly fresh, with wide open seating and a few new gates.<\/p>\n

You'll find the Sapphire Lounge tucked in between gates B39 and B40<\/strong>, meaning it's accessible to those flying from either the B or C terminals. There is also a post-security shuttle from Terminal E.<\/p>\n

In order to enter, you'll want to take the elevator up to the reception, where up to four check-in desks greet you as soon as you exit.<\/p>\n

Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston Layout<\/span><\/h2>\n

Immediately to the right of the reception desk is the main seating area, divided up into three distinct sections. The one nearest to the buffet includes tables and chairs, plus QR codes for delivery of food right to you.<\/p>\n

The whole space is bright and airy, with a wall of windows showing excellent tarmac views.<\/p>\n

You can tell that Chase put a lot of thought into this lounge, including the large bar, the art pieces from Chase's private collection, and the stylish touches located throughout.<\/p>\n

And multiple seating options provide something for everyone.<\/p>\n

Around the bar is clustered another group of seating, as well as the taproom, where you'll find local beers to try.<\/p>\n

At the far end of the lounge, you'll find a large electric fireplace and more seating.<\/p>\n

It's over here that you'll also spot the wellness room, which requires registration to enter. We'll talk about that more in the amenities section, along with the shower room and the nursing room.<\/p>\n

Food and Beverage at the Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston<\/span><\/h2>\n

Standard lounge fare doesn't cut it at the Sapphire Lounge. Instead, the food and drink at the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston appear to be on par with some of the best business-class lounges we've seen. Think United Polaris lounges<\/a> or American Airlines Flagship Lounges.<\/p>\n

There are self-serve options available, including a selection of hot food, cold food, and desserts.<\/p>\n

However, as we mentioned previously, you also can order meals right to your table. Here's a look at some of the options that are made to order.<\/p>\n

It's nice to see such wide variety within an airline lounge \u2014 rather than the limited options you can expect in many Priority Pass lounges.<\/p>\n

\"Chase<\/p>\n

Higher-end food is a trend we've seen offered at other lounges operated by card issuers \u2014 such as Amex and Capital One. However, the Chase Sapphire Lounge made-to-order concept is a notch higher than the competition.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can't talk about airport lounges without talking about alcohol. The Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston location offers a great selection of drinks, including options from local breweries.<\/p>\n

\"Chase<\/p>\n

If local beer isn't your style, there are also cocktails, wine, juices, soft drinks, and other draft beers available.<\/p>\n

\"Chase<\/p>\n

These are fully-trained bartenders, so don't worry about some half-hearted beverages here.<\/p>\n

Note that there are also two self-serve drink stations within the lounge for non-alcoholic beverages such as soda, coffee, and water.<\/p>\n

Chase Sapphire Lounge Amenities<\/span><\/h2>\n

We've already shown off the design, the food, and the drinks. However, when it comes to amenities, the Chase Sapphire Lounge really shines.<\/p>\n

Showers<\/span><\/h3>\n

The lounge includes two<\/strong> complimentary shower rooms<\/strong> for guests.<\/p>\n

Although modern looking, the dark wood touches may make the space a little difficult for anything but a basic shower. Don't plan to apply that eyeliner in here.<\/p>\n

There aren't any hair dryers in these shower rooms (at least not that we found), but, otherwise, they're fully stocked.<\/p>\n

Nursing Suite<\/span><\/h3>\n

We were also happy to discover the inclusion of a nursing room, complete with a lounging chair.<\/p>\n

You can find a bottle warmer, diapers, wipes, and other baby-friendly amenities in here, as well as a sink and diaper pail.<\/p>\n

Wellness Room<\/span><\/h3>\n

Perhaps the most exciting feature for weary travelers is the wellness room, which offers complimentary access to two massage chairs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These chairs can be booked upon arrival, or you can opt for one of the non-electric wellness chairs while still enjoying a bit of privacy.<\/p>\n

Chase is also offering mediation by well-known wellness educator Devi Brown should you wish to partake.<\/p>\n

Kid's Room<\/span><\/h3>\n

Like any good lounge, the Chase Sapphire by the Club lounge in Boston offers a kid's room. And rather than being tucked away in a dark part of the lounge, the kid's room has plenty of natural light.<\/p>\n

We were also particularly happy to find that the parents' corner included electric outlets so your phone doesn't die while hanging out with the kids.<\/p>\n

Service<\/span><\/h2>\n

It's difficult to judge service for a lounge that hasn't yet opened, but the odds are good that it's going to be well-staffed. There were plenty of workers on hand to show us around, so you can expect a full-service experience here.<\/p>\n

There are so many amenities within this lounge it's almost impossible not to have staff on hand. You'll need them to staff the front desk, make drinks at the bar, bring food orders to your table, pour your drinks in the taproom, allow you into the wellness room, and give you access to the showers. It looks like your needs won't go unattended.<\/p>\n

The Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n

Card issuers are on a roll with their airport lounges and we couldn't be more pleased. We're thrilled to see Chase joining the fray with such gusto in Boston. Now, we're looking forward to seeing what else they have planned for their upcoming locations!<\/p>\n
