There used to be a dedicated Marriott Bonvoy \/ Hertz status match page, but now you need to send an email.\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/news\/car-rental\/hertz-lowers-five-star-status-requirements\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hertz made earning status even easier<\/a>, and as a result, the status match program has gotten a bit murky.<\/p>\n<p>You need to send an email to <strong>Digitalmarketing@hertz.com<\/strong> with proof of identity and proof of status. Provide the following information:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proof of identity (all items listed are required)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer First and Last Name as it appears on your Hertz Account. When this happened, the status match between Marriott and Hertz became much more confusing.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the status match was as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marriott Platinum Elites get a fast track to Hertz Five Star<\/li>\n<li>Titanium Elites get automatic Hertz Five Star<\/li>\n<li>Ambassador Elites get automatic Hertz President's Circle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/marriott-platinum-benefits\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott Platinum Elite<\/a> members would need to complete seven rentals in 12 months (down from 10) to earn Five Star. Now that Five Star requires just three rentals, this fast track obviously needs different requirements.<\/p>\n<p>When reaching out to a Hertz representative, they shared that there is no longer a rental requirement. You simply need to submit one of the qualifications to the email. However, they wouldn't confirm which tiers of Marriott Bonvoy status equate to which tiers of Hertz status. So, it's not clear if Platinum elites qualify for any Hertz status or not.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Score_Bonus_Marriott_Points_With_a_Hertz_Rental\">Score Bonus Marriott Points With a Hertz Rental<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Marriott Bonvoy often offers promotions that let members earn bonus points when <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/activities.marriott.com\/cars\/\" rel=\"noopener\">booking a car rental through the Marriott rental car portal<\/a>. The number of bonus points you earn usually depends on your rental agency and your Marriott Bonvoy elite status tier.<\/p>\n<p>Presently, all Marriott Members can earn 500 points per Hertz rental. Keep in mind that this status match\u00a0is just one way to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/car-rental\/how-to-get-rental-car-elite-status-for-free\/\" rel=\"noopener\">claim rental elite status for free<\/a>. While not everyone rents with Hertz, it's always good to have elite status benefits for any program. Plus, you may be able to use your newfound Hertz status to gain status with other rental car programs.<\/p>\n<p>If you don't have Marriott elite status but hold a <a data-ccid=\"4048272\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/venture-x\/\">Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card<\/a>, you can claim Hertz President's Circle as a benefit.
