Virgin Atlantic Flying Club joined SkyTeam on March 2, 2023<\/a>, and it's now possible to book awards for SkyTeam partner ITA Airways using your Virgin points. Best of all, you can do this online. ITA Airways, for those unfamiliar, is an Italian airline and is the successor to now-defunct Alitalia.<\/p>\n

Here's what you should know about using your Virgin Atlantic points for ITA Airways flights \u2014 and the wide-open availability we're seeing.<\/p>\n

We're seeing wide open award availability from the U.S. East Coast to ITA's hub in Rome (FCO) in early 2024, specifically January\u2013March. Filtering for direct flights only between New York (JFK) and FCO, this is the availability and pricing calendar for a round-trip economy flight.<\/p>\n
