In late 2022, Frontier Airlines debuted its GoWild! Pass. The subscription-based all-you-can-fly product<\/a> allows pass holders access to unlimited flights for one fixed price, plus taxes and fees.<\/p>\n

And it seems that this pass is popular enough for the airline to offer a summer version once again. Travelers can now buy a GoWild! Pass valid for unlimited travel from April 22,<\/strong> 2026<\/strong>, through September 30, 2026<\/strong>, at a reduced $199 rate.<\/p>\n

While this is an intriguing proposition, does it actually make sense to subscribe? Here's all you need to know about the Frontier Airlines GoWild! Pass, including plans and current pricing.<\/p>\n

Frontier GoWild! Pass Pricing<\/span><\/h2>\n

Frontier currently offers three versions of the all-you-can-fly pass. The two key differentiating factors between the passes are the price and the validity period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t

You should keep in mind that unless you purchase a monthly pass, the validity periods are fixed and don't change no matter where in the cycle you enroll. So, to get the most mileage out of your pass, it's best to enroll once a new seasonal or annual pass goes on sale.<\/p>\n

Plus, passes are non-transferable and will automatically renew for another term unless canceled<\/strong>. You can view their full terms and conditions on Frontier's website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Included With a GoWild! Fare?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The GoWild! Pass includes unlimited access to Frontier's domestic and international route network<\/a>. Flights and seats are subject to availability, and blackout periods apply. It's also worth noting that these flights are not status- or mileage-accruing. You can, however, earn miles on the purchase price of the GoWild! Pass itself<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Flights purchased using a GoWild! Pass include the flight, applicable taxes, fees, and other charges, such as the $0.01 fare for each segment booked. The only other inclusion is a free personal item \u2014 a staple of Frontier's “Basic Fare.”<\/p>\n

If you need extra luggage, flexibility, or want to pick a seat, you can purchase an Economy, Premium, or Business bundle. The pricier the bundle, the more inclusions there are.<\/p>\n

It's also worth noting that Frontier's elite members have it easier when paying for extras \u2014 on both standard and GoWild! Pass flights. The cost of seat selection, priority boarding, and certain types of baggage are offset by holding Elite Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Status. How to Book a GoWild! Fare With Frontier<\/span><\/h2>\n

You can search for and book flights on FlyFrontier.com<\/a> but not in the airline's mobile app. After logging into your Frontier Airlines account, search for flights like you normally would. If there's GoWild! availability, you'll see the “starting at” ticket price in the fare menu.<\/p>\n

For example, you can book a same-day flight from Austin (AUS) to Atlanta (ATL) starting at $16. But you'll pay more if you grab a more inclusive fare.<\/p>\n

Frontier advertises that you can find GoWild! flights a few months out. But typically, you can find domestic flights the day before departure and international flights ten days before departure, but your mileage may vary. Sometimes, you can find flights further in advance.<\/p>\n

The trick, though, is to sign up for The 1491 Club<\/a>. This subscription-based service can help you locate flights that have GoWild! availability across all of Frontier's destinations. You'll have to pay for the privilege of seeing availability, but it's worth it if you plan to frequently use your pass. It'll beat searching Frontier's website day-by-day.<\/p>\n

But after finding and selecting a flight, you'll go through the normal Frontier Airlines booking process, picking a bundle if you so choose or sticking with the Basic Fare.<\/p>\n

Again, flights are subject to availability, so there are no guarantees you will be able to find flights on your intended travel dates, whether one or 10 days in advance \u2014 give or take.<\/p>\n

Is the GoWild! Pass Worth It?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The answer to this question depends entirely on how much you travel. To illustrate this, let's look at that above sample flight from Austin (AUS) to Atlanta (ATL). For easy reference, we'll paste the fares again down below.<\/p>\n

For the 5:53 PM departure, the results are pretty compelling. The basic GoWild! fare is $267 cheaper than Frontier's standard fare (greater than $0.01 fare because of hefty surcharges, taxes, and fees) and $247 cheaper than Discount Den.<\/p>\n

In this example, the savings on this one-way trip alone pay for the Summer GoWild! Pass. But the savings aren't always this pronounced (see the 11:01 AM departure above; the cash fares are way cheaper).<\/p>\n

And generally speaking, you'll need to fly a lot to make the math work out long-term — especially with the annual plan. Remember, you don't need a membership to book a cheap fare whenever you find one. Discount Den costs $109.99 for the first year and $59.99 each year thereafter. And if you recall from the table at the top of the post, a GoWild! pass costs as little as $119 per month, $199 for a seasonal term, or $399 annually.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the GoWild! Pass, or even a Discount Den membership can be worth it, but only if you fly enough. Otherwise, you'll just end up paying more up front to pay less later on and fall short of justifying your investment.<\/p>\n

And there are absolutely situations where you might also end up paying a lot more to use your GoWild! pass. On a few examples we saw, it's not out of the ordinary for all-in GoWild! fares to match Frontier's standard fare. This is because of government-imposed taxes and fees, as well as carrier-imposed surcharges — particularly if you add connections.<\/p>\n

So, our advice is this: poke through Frontier's website and price out routes you might take so you can evaluate the taxes and fees in the context of your other options. That's the best way to determine if the math will work in your favor.<\/p>\n

Final Thoughts<\/span><\/h2>\n

An all-you-can-fly pass program<\/a> is incredibly appealing in an environment where travel costs can be extremely high. Paying a fixed fee plus taxes and other applicable charges to book a ticket, even if last minute, is intriguing.<\/p>\n

But Frontier's GoWild! pass is clearly not for every traveler, and it's not always the key to saving the most money on Frontier flights (that award could go to Discount Den). And that's assuming you use it enough to justify the subscription costs.<\/p>\n

That's why it pays to take a long look at the routes you'd potentially fly and see what you might pay on top of the subscription fee. While these fares may look cheap \u2014 and $0.01 is actually very cheap \u2014 it's the taxes, fees, and surcharges that might bite you.<\/p>\n
