Citi Travel was often the most expensive option, though not always by much \u2014 and occasionally it offered competitive pricing, especially during promotions.<\/p>\n<p>The takeaway is simple: always compare Citi Travel\u2019s price against other booking sites before you commit. This doesn't happen often, but it is something to be aware of.<\/p>\n<h4>Will I get hotel elite status benefits when booking through the Citi Travel portal?<\/h4>\n<p>If you book through the Citi Travel portal, you likely won't receive hotel elite benefits at major chains. Citi Travel bookings are treated as third-party reservations, and most hotels don't extend elite benefits for these stays.<\/p>\n<p>This is a big downside compared to booking directly.
