Holders of the Bilt Mastercard can earn up to 100,000 Bilt Points in a calendar year from rent payments.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, the Bilt Mastercard earns 3X points on dining, 2X points on travel, 1X on all other purchases, and even 0.5X on home purchases through the new <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/bilt-rewards\/earn-bilt-points-home-purchase\/\" rel=\"noopener\">eXp Realty partnership<\/a> &#8212; all as long as you use your card to make five purchases during a statement period. But we should mention that you are not guaranteed to receive this offer.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bilt_Credit_Card_Benefits\">Bilt Credit Card Benefits<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite not charging an annual fee, the Bilt Mastercard offers compelling perks that set it apart from other top no-annual-fee cards.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"No_transaction_fees_for_paying_rent\">No transaction fees for paying rent<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Bilt Mastercard lets you <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/bilt-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">earn points on rent payments<\/a> without paying the costly transaction fees tacked on by apartments and rental communities. Bilt offers multiple methods for paying rent without fees.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bilt Rewards Alliance:<\/strong> If your apartment complex is a Bilt partner, you can use Bilt's app or website to pay for rent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other properties with online payment: <\/strong>If your apartment is not partnered with Bilt but you still pay rent via online payment portal, you can use an account and routing number that Bilt has generated for your Bilt account to pay for rent via ACH.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Properties without online payment: <\/strong>If your landlord doesn't have an online payment portal, Bilt will even mail a check to your landlord directly from Bilt to pay for rent &#8212; still letting you earn rewards for doing so.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Venmo, Paypal, and Zelle:\u00a0<\/strong>If you pay your landlord via Venmo or Paypal, Bilt states in <a href=\"https:\/\/support.biltrewards.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/6561447272717-I-pay-rent-by-check-Paypal-Venmo-Zelle-can-I-still-use-the-Bilt-Mastercard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a support article<\/a> that you can pay your rent in the app by pressing the &#8220;Pay Rent&#8221; tab. While the article does claim that the pay rent tab does not support Zelle rent payments, Bilt has told me and some <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/biltrewards\/comments\/1drfmrc\/is_there_any_way_to_accrue_rent_rewards_via_bilt\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Redditors<\/a> that they can send screenshots of rent payments on Zelle to their support team each month, and Bilt will award points. Thus, the rates are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8x on Lyft (2x for having a connected Bilt account + 6x for paying with your Bilt card)<\/li>\n<li>6x on dining<\/li>\n<li>4x on travel<\/li>\n<li>2x on other purchases, excluding rent and home purchases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can earn up to 1,000 bonus points through enhanced multipliers on Rent Day.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Bilt Mastercard does not charge foreign transaction fees on travel purchases. If you're making a travel purchase that is not in US Dollars, you will not be charged a fee by Bilt to convert that purchase to dollars.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Redeeming_Points_With_the_Bilt_Mastercard\">Redeeming Points With the Bilt Mastercard<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So, how can you use Bilt Points? Let's take a look.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Transfer_to_partners\">Transfer to partners<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Bilt Rewards points are very valuable. Not only does Bilt <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biltrewards.com\/rewards\/travel\" rel=\"noopener\">transfer to most of its partners at a 1:1 rate<\/a>, but it also is the only rewards program that can transfer points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan (besides Marriott Bonvoy, but that's at a 3:1 ratio). This makes Bilt Rewards critical for taking advantage of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/alaska-atmos-rewards\/best-use-of-alaska-miles\/\" rel=\"noopener\">incredible Alaska Mileage Plan sweet spots<\/a>. Unlike Delta and United, Alaska still publishes an award chart for its mileage redemptions &#8212; and this chart can be especially useful on partner airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Bilt is also one of a few card programs that transfer to Turkish Airlines, which also has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/turkish-airlines-award-chart\/\" rel=\"noopener\">multiple sweet spots<\/a> for redeeming miles that set it apart from other airlines' mileage programs.
