We've got good news, and we've got bad news. The bad news? Well, the headline speaks for itself. The good news? ANA's award chart devaluation won't happen until April 18, 2024<\/strong>, so there's still time to book trips at the current rates before the Tokyo-based airline hikes its award prices.<\/p>\n

Here's a look at what's changing with ANA Mileage Club's award charts and how the devaluation might impact you.<\/p>\n

ANA Mileage Club To Devalue Award Charts on April 18, 2024<\/span><\/h2>\n

Traditionally, ANA Mileage Club has been a hard frequent flyer program to love. But despite the rules and restrictions, one of its redeeming qualities was its too-good-to-be-true award pricing. Unfortunately, that'll soon change, as ANA has let prospective travelers know that awards will soon cost more<\/a>, effective April 18, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most price increases are localized to international business- and first-class awards operated by ANA and its roster of partner airlines. So, for some, there's a silver lining there. With rare exceptions, you won't pay more to fly coach or premium economy.<\/p>\n

ANA-operated awards<\/span><\/h3>\n

ANA has a stellar product in the pointy end of its planes, so higher pricing is undoubtedly sadness-inducing. However, these awards require extreme patience and a lot of luck to book, so there's that.<\/p>\n

The impending changes are network-wide, so the highlighted routes aren't exclusive. But, as an example, here's what you'll soon pay for round-trip awards between the United States (excluding Hawaii) and Japan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t

Compared to what many other carriers charge, ANA's new Mileage Club award charts will still punch above their weight. However, that assumes you can find a bookable award in a premium cabin.<\/p>\n

Partner-operated awards<\/span><\/h3>\n

ANA belongs to the Star Alliance<\/a>, which means you can use Mileage Club miles to book tickets on one of several international airlines, plus a few non-alliance partners. But like with ANA flights, partner awards will have a higher price tag come April \u2014 primarily in business class.<\/p>\n

Here are a few examples (prices for round-trip itineraries):<\/p>\n
