What Is JSX?<\/span><\/h2>\n
Originally known as JetSuiteX, JSX is an air carrier that offers a flying experience somewhere between a private charter and a commercial airline.<\/p>\n
The carrier operates a fleet of Embraer ERJ-135, ERJ-145, and ATR 72 aircraft, each configured with no more than 30 seats. While the seating is similar to economy plus in terms of legroom, JSX flights come with several additional perks, including:<\/p>\n

- Complimentary snacks and drinks on flights (including alcohol)<\/li>\n
- Flights depart from and arrive at private terminals, meaning expedited security<\/li>\n
- Two free checked bags on flights, including sporting equipment like golf clubs<\/li>\n
- Pets up to 79 pounds are allowed to fly in the cabin<\/li>\n
- In-seat power<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Credit: Mark Jackson<\/em><\/enter><\/figure>\n While JSX flights can be pricier than those on traditional carriers, the added convenience and perks can make the extra cost worthwhile. I flew JSX in February 2025, and the experience was seamless.<\/p>\n
My flight from Scottsdale Airport in Arizona to Las Vegas departed from a private terminal within walking distance of my house. On arrival, I landed at a private terminal on the Strip side of the airport, which helped cut down on transit costs and time spent in the airport.<\/p>\n
Better yet, I was able to earn rewards on my flight. And you can, too.<\/p>\n
Earn United MileagePlus Miles With JSX<\/span><\/h2>\n
There are two ways to earn United MileagePlus<\/a> miles when flying JSX, depending on how you book your ticket. Like most United partners, your mileage earnings vary based on your booking method.<\/p>\n
Book through United<\/span><\/h3>\n
If you book your JSX flight directly through United\u2019s website, your miles are based on the cost of your ticket<\/a> and your MileagePlus elite status:<\/p>\n

- Premier Silver:<\/strong> 7x fare<\/li>\n
- Premier Gold:<\/strong> 8x fare<\/li>\n
- Premier Platinum:<\/strong> 9x fare<\/li>\n
- Premier 1K:<\/strong> 11x fare<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
You'll also want to know that JSX flights don\u2019t earn Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs)<\/a> or Premier Qualifying Flights (PQFs), which means these flights won\u2019t count toward elite status. However, you can redeem United MileagePlus miles for JSX flights.<\/p>\n

Book through JSX or other channels<\/span><\/h3>\n
If you book directly with JSX or through another third-party site, your earnings are based on distance flown and fare class<\/a>:<\/p>\n

- Economy (Y, B, E, M, V, S, D, T):<\/strong> 100% of mileage flown<\/li>\n
- Discount economy (W, G, Q):<\/strong> 75% of mileage flown<\/li>\n
- Deep-discount economy (N, H, P):<\/strong> 50% of mileage flown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
To earn United MileagePlus miles on your JSX flight, make sure your United MileagePlus number is included in your booking.<\/p>\n
Earn Rewards Through Club JSX<\/span><\/h2>\n
In July 2025, JSX launched its own loyalty program called Club JSX<\/a>. This program is free to join and offers members rewards on their JSX flights.<\/p>\n
At the time of writing, Club JSX members can earn 5% of their base fare, seat assignment fees, and fees associated with transporting a medium-to-large dog in the cabin or a dog or cat in an approved under-seat carrier.<\/p>\n
If you choose to earn rewards through Club JSX, you can\u2019t also earn United MileagePlus miles. However, there are a few reasons to consider earning through Club JSX \u2014 especially since the program offers perks beyond 5% rewards on eligible spending that you can apply toward future flights.<\/p>\n
These perks include family rewards pooling, exclusive member offers, and up to double rewards during your birth month.<\/p>\n
Former JSX Earning Partnerships<\/span><\/h2>\n
Until February 28, 2026<\/strong>, JetBlue TrueBlue members could earn points on JSX flights. This partnership ended as JSX and JetBlue cut ties<\/a>.<\/p>\n
That said, the partnership was never overwhelmingly rewarding. Depending on the fare you booked and credited to JetBlue, you\u2019d earn a flat 150 points (Hop On) or 250 points (All In). Unless you flew JSX frequently, these earnings likely didn\u2019t move the needle much, but it\u2019s still disappointing to see a partnership end.<\/p>\n

The other way you can earn points, miles, or other types of rewards on your JSX flight is by using the right credit card when you book your ticket. But which card should you use to reserve your flight? Consider using a card that earns bonus points or miles on airfare, such as:<\/p>\n
