Every year, thousands of U.S. customers respond to determine the best and worst U.S. loyalty programs.<\/p>\n<p>From the surprising winner to which travel companies ranked best, here's what they found.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Newsweek8217s_Survey_Methodology_Ranking_Criteria\">Newsweek's Survey Methodology & Ranking Criteria<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The survey collected evaluations from more than 4,000 U.S. customers from the various loyalty programs. It is the <strong>Victoria\u2019s Secret Credit Card <\/strong>&#8212;\u00a0with an imposing score of 9.8 out of 10. They are very closely followed by Amazon Rewards points, with an equally impressive score of 9.76 out of 10.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the bottom of the pack, Abercrombie & Fitch has a lot of work to do since its program myAbercrombie scores a measly 5.52 out of 10. Sadly for Wings fans, Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin\u2019 Rewards is not doing much better, with a less-than-stellar score of 5.82 out of 10.<\/p>\n<p>That said, none of these programs are in the travel niche. So, let's examine the best airline, hotel, and car rental loyalty programs.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Airlines_Allegiant_leads_the_way\">Airlines: Allegiant leads the way<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Typically, you would expect the top spots to be occupied by many of the major US carriers. This is not so, and Allegiant has scored a big win for the little guy. The 14th largest U.S. airline tops the results with its Always Rewards program.<\/p>\n<p>American Airlines and United have some work to do to bring their programs up to par since they are languishing in eighth and ninth place, respectively. U.S. airline loyalty program ranks are as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/allegiant-allways-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Allegiant Always Rewards<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/southwest-rapid-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest Rapid Rewards<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/delta-skymiles\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Delta SkyMiles<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/jetblue-trueblue\/\" rel=\"noopener\">JetBlue TrueBlue<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/airlines\/frontier-revenue-based-elite-status\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Frontier Miles<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/alaska-atmos-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/do-hawaiian-miles-expire\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/american-aadvantage\/elite-status\/\" rel=\"noopener\">American Airlines AAdvantage<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/united-mileageplus\/\" rel=\"noopener\">United MileagePlus<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/free-spirit-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Spirit's Free Spirit<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span id=\"Hotels_World_of_Hyatt_tops_the_pack\">Hotels: World of Hyatt tops the pack<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>On the hotel front, it is no surprise that World of Hyatt tops the list. The program is excellent by any measure and has lots to offer its members. Big brands occupy the top five places, although it was a little surprise to see Wyndham ranked so low in fifth place.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/world-of-hyatt\/\" rel=\"noopener\">World Of Hyatt<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/choice-privileges\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Choice Privileges<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/hilton-honors\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hilton Honors<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott Bonvoy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/wyndham-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Wyndham Rewards<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Individual booking sites<\/h4>\n<p>When it comes to none brand specific hotel loyalty programs, the list is less extensive, with only three entrants as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Booking.com<\/li>\n<li>Expedia Rewards<\/li>\n<li>OneKey: Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span id=\"Car_Rental_ACE_Rent_A_Car\">Car Rental: ACE Rent A Car<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>ACE Rent-A-Car Member Rewards claimed the top spot in terms of rental loyalty programs. Understandably, that led to some interesting and surprising results this year.<\/p>\n<p>It's interesting to see a huge company like Amazon scoring so highly.
