This is on the heels of big changes to the SkyMiles loyalty program.

There are some bright spots in the card changes, however. These include expanded annual credits and improvements to annual companion certificates. But annual fees are going up across the board, and the Sky Club changes for Reserve cardholders have upset numerous customers.

However, there is some additional good news for existing Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card cardholders: Delta is handing out $100 eCredit certificates. These were announced in February and are now hitting accounts.

How To Find Your $100 Delta Reserve eCredit

If you're a current Delta Reserve or Business Delta Reserve cardholder, you should see your $100 eCredit in the Fly Delta mobile app under Certificates & eCredits. This is the same spot where you'll see your companion certificates and any other flight credits you may have. In a browser, you'll see it listed under My Profile, Certificates, eCredits & Vouchers.

Credit: Delta</enter>

The code is good through March 31, 2025 and works like any other eCredit. When booking a flight, simply enter the number during the checkout process on the final page. You'll need the eCredit number and redemption code.

You can book any cabin class with the $100 Reserve cardholder eCredit, and it's valid on Delta-marketed flights plus a variety of other airlines. Additionally, the $100 credit is partially transferable. The cardholder simply needs to be traveling on the itinerary for which you use the credit; in this situation, it will apply to the cost of another passenger's ticket. This assumes you find fares lower than $100 per person, though.

Final Thoughts

While the $100 Delta Reserve eCredit is a nice gesture, it's not enough to sway me into keeping my Delta Reserve for another year. The lounge access has been nice, but this perk is getting considerably weaker. In addition, I haven't used it enough to justify the annual fee already this past year, and that was before the increased fee in 2024.

If you get enough out of your Delta Reserve or Business Delta Reserve to keep it each year, this is just a little extra to enjoy. But unless this becomes an annual credit for both of these cards, I don't see it tipping the scales much toward justifying either card.

Page Contents

How To Find Your $100 Delta Reserve eCredit

Final Thoughts

Delta is providing $100 eCredits to existing customers with the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card or Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card, but it may not be enough to justify the increased annual fee on the cards.
