These awards cost a lot, and they can be tough to book. But if you want to try your luck at booking a Star Alliance round-the-world trip using <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/best-singapore-krisflyer-awards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer<\/a> miles, you'll want to do so this month. On <strong>May 1, 2024<\/strong>, Singapore Airlines will no longer ticket these aspirational awards.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Singapore_Airlines_To_Sunset_Star_Alliance_Round-the-World_Awards\">Singapore Airlines To Sunset Star Alliance Round-the-World Awards<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Round-the-world tickets can offer incredible savings compared to individually booked trips or flight segments. In premium cabins, the savings are even more pronounced. Plus, what's better than seeing a good chunk of the world on a single itinerary?<\/p>\n<p>Few airlines offer travelers an option to book these tickets. Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines has long been one of them, but that's going to change. On <strong>May 1, 2024<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.singaporeair.com\/en_UK\/us\/ppsclub-krisflyer\/use-miles\/redeem-miles\/star-alliance-round-the-world-award\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Singapore Airlines will stop ticketing these awards<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Round The World Awards will not be available for ticketing via Singapore Airlines from 1 May 2024. Award tickets issued before 1 May 2024 will remain valid.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In other words, you have until the end of April to book round-the-world awards at the following prices \u2014 assuming you can find availability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Economy:<\/strong> 200,000 KrisFlyer miles<\/li>\n<li><strong>Business Class:<\/strong> 280,000 KrisFlyer miles<\/li>\n<li><strong>First Class:<\/strong> 405,000 KrisFlyer miles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To book a Star Alliance round-the-world award in the future, you'll have to look toward <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/ana-award-chart\/\" rel=\"noopener\">ANA Mileage Club<\/a> or Lufthansa Miles & More.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Booking_a_Singapore_Airlines_KrisFlyer_round-the-world_award\">Booking a Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer round-the-world award<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Booking a round-the-world award is, in one word, difficult \u2014 and more so in premium cabins. On top of that, travelers have to tangle with several rules when crafting an itinerary, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Itineraries must start and end in the same country.<\/li>\n<li>Backtracking isn't allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Maximum of 16 flight segments.<\/li>\n<li>Maximum of 7 stopovers.<\/li>\n<li>No more than two stopovers are allowed in the same country.<\/li>\n<li>Itineraries can't cover more than 35,000 miles.<\/li>\n<li>Only saver-level seats are bookable.<\/li>\n<li>Changes aren't allowed after the trip has started.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.singaporeair.com\/en_UK\/contact-us\/\" rel=\"noopener\">book over the phone<\/a> or with the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.singaporeair.com\/saar5\/pdf\/ppsclub_krisflyer\/forms\/PartnerAL-ResRequest.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\">reservation request form<\/a> (warning: PDF), you'll also be responsible for a $250 booking fee, plus any taxes and fees associated with each individual flight segment. That's a lot, but you can be extremely creative if you've got the miles and the funds to book one of these awards.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_140809\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img
