The application prices will harmonize at $120 starting on October 1, 2024. If you travel with any frequency, Global Entry (which includes TSA PreCheck) is the way to go. It's one of the best travel tools to keep in your back pocket.<\/p>\n<p>Several credit cards offer &#8220;up to $X value&#8221; for trusted traveler programs every few years \u2014 depending on the program you apply for. In response to the news about the fee hikes, several issuers adjusted the credit amount to $120. Thus, starting <strong>October 1, 2024<\/strong>, each of the following issuers will offer cardholders up to $120 in fee reimbursements:<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Citi\">Citi<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Citi will increase the expedited security fee credit on two cards from $100 to $120. This will apply to the <a data-ccid=\"3004054\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/american-aadvantage\/citi-aadvantage-executive\/\">Citi<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> \/ AAdvantage<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Executive World Elite Mastercard<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> and the <a data-ccid=\"10\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/citi-thankyou-rewards\/citi-prestige\/\" =_blank>Citi Prestige<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Card<\/a> (no longer open to new applicants).<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Chase\">Chase<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Chase will also adjust the benefits on a handful of its own cards. Starting October 1, 2024, cardholders can receive a statement credit of up to $120 every four years, matching the new cost for Trusted Traveler program applications.<\/p>\n<p>There's a long list of Chase cards offering this perk, including the <a data-ccid=\"4048084\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/chase-ultimate-rewards\/sapphire-reserve\/\">Chase Sapphire Reserve<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>, <a data-ccid=\"4048165\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/southwest-rapid-rewards\/performance-business\/\">Southwest<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Rapid Rewards<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Performance Business Credit Card<\/a>, <a data-ccid=\"4048274\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/air-canada-aeroplan\/aeroplan-credit-card\/\">Aeroplan<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Credit Card<\/a>, and <a data-ccid=\"4048117\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/united-mileageplus\/united-explorer-card\/\">United\u2120 Explorer Card<\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Barclays\">Barclays<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Barclays issues multiple cards that offer a Trusted Traveler application fee credit, but only one has updated terms covering the fee changes on October 1, 2024. You'll find the &#8220;up to $120&#8221; terms now listed on the <strong>AAdvantage<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Aviator<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Silver Mastercard<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"American_Express\">American Express<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>American Express has confirmed that it will be raising the statement credits on affected cards to $120 every 4.5 years. These changes impact the large number of personal and business cards that American Express offers. A couple of examples include the <a data-ccid=\"4028089\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/amex-membership-rewards\/amex-platinum\/\">American Express Platinum Card<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> and <a data-ccid=\"4028096\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/amex-membership-rewards\/amex-business-platinum\/\">The Business Platinum Card<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> from American Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The application fee credit increase will also apply to co-branded cards that offer the benefit, such as the\u00a0<a data-ccid=\"4048231\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/marriott-bonvoy\/amex-bonvoy-brilliant\/\">Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> American Express<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Card<\/a>, <a data-ccid=\"4048101\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/delta-skymiles\/amex-delta-platinum\/\">Delta SkyMiles<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Platinum American Express Card<\/a>, and <a data-ccid=\"4048149\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/delta-skymiles\/delta-reserve-card\/\">Delta SkyMiles<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Reserve American Express Card<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Capital_One\">Capital One<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Capital One will increase its Trusted Traveler application fee credit to $120 when the price increases. This will cover the <a data-ccid=\"3006151\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/venture-card\/\">Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card<\/a> and <a data-ccid=\"4048272\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/venture-x\/\">Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card<\/a> personal cards, as well as the <a data-ccid=\"5048345\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/venture-x-business\/\">Capital One Venture X Business<\/a> and <a data-ccid=\"265\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/spark-miles\/\">Capital One Spark Miles for Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"PenFed\">PenFed<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>PenFed Pathfinder<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Rewards Visa Signature<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> is a card you might not know much about. That said, the $95 annual fee card offers a fee reimbursement for Trusted Traveler program applications, which will increase to $120 on October 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In a few days, the cost to apply for programs such as Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS will go up. So, if you don't have an application fee waiver, now is a great time to apply the out-of-pocket burden increases. However, there's good news if you have an application fee waiver.
