Each claim costs $25 and is limited to $800 worth of coverage for damages or phone replacement. Redeeming points this way yields very poor value, so it's not something we recommend.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Rewards_exchange\">Rewards exchange<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you don't want to redeem your Choice points for a hotel stay or gift cards, you can instead transfer them to over a dozen airlines. Some of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/choice-privileges\/airline-transfer-partners\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Choice's airline partners<\/a> include Alaska Airlines, British Airways, and Southwest Airlines, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, points transfer at a very poor exchange rate, as low as 5:1, so we do not recommend this option either. If bumping up your points and miles stash for other hotels or airlines is your goal, you're better off opening a card that earns <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/best-flexible-rewards-points-travel\/\" rel=\"noopener\">transferable points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Choice_Credit_Card_Application_Restrictions\">Choice Credit Card Application Restrictions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>All cards come with their own set of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/rewards-card-application-rules\/\" rel=\"noopener\">application restrictions<\/a> stating who is eligible for the card and the welcome offer.
