Alaska Airlines did it again. It partnered with an airline you've likely never heard of: Aleutian Airways. And like its second-newest boutique partner<\/a>, there's a compelling reason to fly with Aleutian. The small, Saab-powered carrier can take you to places in Alaska that Alaska Airlines doesn't.<\/p>\n

Here's what you need to know about Alaska's newest earn-only partner, Aleutian Airways.<\/p>\n

Alaska Airlines Partners With Aleutian Airways<\/span><\/h2>\n

The newest airline you can book through Alaska Airlines' website is unique. Aleutian Airways<\/a>, with a small fleet of Saab propeller planes, will fly you to remote places like Sand Point, Cold Bay, and more. If you're unfamiliar with Aleutian but aware of Ravn Alaska<\/a>, the two carriers are very similar, and Alaska Airlines partners with both.<\/p>\n

Starting today, you can book flights from Aleutian's hub in Anchorage (ANC) to each of its five destinations, plus its sole non-hub route on Alaska's website, and you'll earn Mileage Plan<\/a> miles on your travel.<\/p>\n

On Aleutian flights you book through Alaska, you'll earn 100% base miles (based on the miles traveled) and 100% elite-qualifying miles. To earn, you'll need to ensure your ticket falls into one of the following economy fare classes: Y, S, B, M, H, or Q. Mileage Plan elites will also earn an additional bonus based on the status held at the time of travel.<\/p>\n

We don't usually complain about distance-based earnings. However, in the case of Aleutian Airways, it would be much more appreciated if the Mileage Plan earnings were revenue-based.
