It\u2019s now a good bit more rewarding to earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles on your next slate of stays at an IHG property. Through July 6, 2026<\/strong>, registered IHG One Rewards members can earn an uncapped 3X AAdvantage miles on new bookings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what to know about this offer and how to register.<\/p>\n

Earn 3X AAdvantage Miles on IHG Stays<\/span><\/h2>\n

A couple of times a year, IHG One Rewards<\/a> runs a promotion for members who choose to earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles on their stays instead of IHG points. And through July 6, 2026<\/strong>, you can earn 3X miles per $1 spent on stays at IHG.<\/p>\n

Ordinarily, you\u2019ll earn 2X miles per $1 spent on qualifying room rates at all IHG Hotels & Resorts properties, with the exception of Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites, which earn 1X mile per $1 spent. That makes this offer a good reason to switch your earning preference for the time being.<\/p>\n

Note that you\u2019ll also need to change your earning preference from IHG One Rewards points to AAdvantage miles to participate in this offer.<\/p>\n

To do this, head to your IHG preferences, select \u201cAirline Miles\/Partner Points\u201d in the earning preferences section, and then choose \u201cAmerican Airlines AAdvantage\u201d as your preferred airline program. This also means you can\u2019t double dip; you\u2019ll need to choose between IHG points or airline miles.<\/p>\n
