The Delta Business Traveler program, launched in August 2024, offers benefits designed for individual business travelers. These are wide-ranging, so don't assume they are limited to Delta.<\/p>\n
Here's an overview of the benefits attached to joining the free Delta Business Traveler program, as listed on the Delta Business Traveler webpage<\/a>:<\/p>\n Whenever you sign up, you might see additional benefits in your account. I registered in just a few seconds by filling out my company name and information, and then I saw additional offers in my account:<\/p>\n Most benefits require enrollment and will expire, so be sure to enroll as soon as you register for a Business Traveler account.<\/p>\n You're eligible to join the program if you meet the following three criteria:<\/p>\n It's that simple. If the program has piqued your interest, click here to enroll<\/a>.<\/p>\n Delta SkyMiles for Business has been around since October 2023, slightly longer than the Business Traveler program. It's targeted toward small- to medium-sized enterprises in the U.S. and Canada. It has three membership tiers: member, plus, and elite.<\/p>\n Delta SkyMiles for Business members receive the following:<\/p>\n This tier is open to all small and medium enterprises based in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n Delta SkyMiles for Business Plus gives you all of the same benefits as the member tier, as well as:<\/p>\n To qualify for the plus tier, you need five or more business travelers and $5,000 in Delta spending per year.<\/p>\n The elite tier gives you all the same benefits as the plus tier, but also includes 15% bonus miles. To qualify, you'll need five or more business travelers and $300,000 in spending per year \u2014 quite the jump from the previous tier.<\/p>\n Plus and elite tiers earn up to 10 miles per dollar spent, depending on the product purchased and departure\/arrival airports.<\/p>\n The main difference is that one is targeted at individuals, and one is targeted at companies. SkyMiles for Business is aimed at companies and businesses, allowing them to earn miles for individual business travel by employees.<\/p>\n Delta Business Traveler is aimed at individuals\u00a0who are in charge of their business travel plans. So, if you are self-employed or your company lets you organize your travel and reimburses you, the Delta Business Traveler program is aimed at you.<\/p>\n On the surface, the Delta Business Traveler program does not cost you much (it's free!), but it does not give you much, either. So, it's hard to see the true value of this program since everything it offers is not particularly valuable and is something you can get for free elsewhere.<\/p>\n For instance, the Industrious membership is attractive if you use a\u00a0co-working space while on the road. However, a quick look at the company's locations<\/a> shows that it has a limited number of outposts. Unless you happen to work regularly in one of the few cities with a co-working space, the membership won't do you much good.<\/p>\n And while car rental elite status is nice, it is nothing to write home about. You have many options to get car rental elite status for free<\/a>. For instance, if you hold the American Express Platinum Card\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>, you will receive complimentary Hertz President\u2019s Circle status as long as your card is open. (Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.) That's just one of many ways.<\/p>\n\n
