In addition, transcon routes are also good value in economy, setting you back just 12,000 miles one way.

When it comes to premium cabins the chart is pretty uncompetitive and has some issues that need to be ironed out, since a first-class award from Fairbanks to Anchorage will set you back the same (47,000 miles) as a first clast ticket from Anchorage to Hawaii.

KrisFlyer Options

While you have always been able to redeem KrisFlyer miles on its Star Alliance partner United, the rates were not great. This new Alaska redemption chart adds a new element of competition especially on routes to Hawaii. What makes this new chart even more appealing is how easy it is to get your hands on Singapore miles. The airline is one of a handful that is a transfer partner across all major transferable points programs.

Overall

This new award chart has, like most, its high points and low points; that said, we can't complain about Hawaii. Let's hope the Alaska chart has some sweet spots when it is released.

Source: Straight To The Points

Page Contents

KrisFlyer Chart Details for Alaska Redemptions

Sweet Spots And Black Holes

KrisFlyer Options

Overall

Ever since Alaska and Singapore announced their partnership recently, we have been waiting for the redemption charts to be released.
