In addition to new routes and major plans to increase the number of premium seats across its fleet, Alaska Airlines is also preparing to launch a brand-new premium credit card. And thanks to Alaska Air Group's Q2 2025 earnings call, we now know the card is set to debut in August 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Here's what we know about the premium Mileage Plan credit card that's about to launch.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"A_Brand-New_Alaska_Airlines_Premium_Credit_Card_Is_Launching_August_2025\">A Brand-New Alaska Airlines Premium Credit Card Is Launching August 2025<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In August 2025, the Alaska Airlines credit card portfolio will grow from two cards to three. A brand-new premium offering will join the airline's mid-tier consumer and business products. But for now, this is all we know about this new card. As we get closer to the card's launch date, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/alaska-atmos-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Alaska Mileage Plan<\/a> will likely share more \u2014 and will do so directly if you pre-register your interest.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"You_can_join_the_waitlist_for_Alaska8217s_premium_card\">You can join the waitlist for Alaska's premium card<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With that, Alaska Airlines has shared a landing page where you can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskaair.com\/content\/mileage-plan\/how-to-earn-miles\/financial-partners\/premium-card\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-register your interest in its incoming premium credit card<\/a>. A new Alaska Airlines credit card means another opportunity to earn <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/alaska-atmos-rewards\/alaska-miles-value\/\" rel=\"noopener\">valuable Mileage Plan miles<\/a> \u2014 a valuable proposition in itself \u2014 before factoring in the additional perks that will come with the card.<\/p>\n<p>The initial announcement of this new card left us with a lot of questions, many of which we still have since Alaska Airlines and Bank of America have done a bang-up job of keeping everything close to the vest.<\/p>\n<p>For starters, though, the proposed annual fee is far lower than that of other <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/premium-airline-cards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">premium airline credit cards<\/a> \u2014 by a wide margin. Could this mean the perks won't be as premium as Alaska Airlines is advertising them to be? Or will the annual fee be nothing short of a bargain?
