You'll also earn 1x points on other purchases.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Redeeming_Rewards_From_the_Amex_EveryDay_Card\">Redeeming Rewards From the Amex EveryDay Card<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/amex-membership-rewards\/best-way-to-use-amex-points\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Membership Rewards earned with the Amex EveryDay can be redeemed<\/a> as statement credits, gift cards, for travel through American Express Travel<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> or by transferring to travel partners. You also can pay with points at checkout at Amazon, PayPal, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Redemptions for statement credits and paying with points will provide 1\u00a2 per point in value or less. Among other <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/rewards-card-application-rules\/\" rel=\"noopener\">application rules and restrictions<\/a>, this means you typically can receive the welcome bonus from any particular card just once per lifetime. Operating under the assumption that you can only get a welcome bonus once, it's important to apply for any Amex card when the welcome offer is higher than usual.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Amex tends to limit you to holding five of its credit cards at a time.\u00a0There aren't any published rules on how often you can apply for an Amex card.
