Instead, Frontier elite members need to request the upgrade within the upgrade window. We'll see if this changes when Frontier launches a true first-class cabin in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>However, Frontier Platinum and Diamond elites can move their whole group into Preferred or Premium seats, with the timing depending on the type of upgrade and the elite's respective status level. Note that all travelers must be on the same reservation to be eligible. Frontier allows you to have up to nine passengers on a single reservation, making this quite beneficial for large parties.<\/p>\n<p>Here's how elite seating for companions work for each status level, for everyone on an elite member's booking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Elite Diamond:<\/strong> Premium and Preferred and Standard seating at booking<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elite Platinum: <\/strong>Premium seating at check-in; Preferred and Standard seating at booking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, starting in mid-2025, Frontier is introducing a companion ticket, which will allow one companion to fly with you for just taxes and fees as often as you'd like.
