Like most other Choice transfer partners, the transfer ratio is set at 5:1, meaning you'll get 1,000 LATAM Pass miles for every 5,000 Choice points transferred. However, you can transfer points in increments of just 1,000 Choice points. much improved 5:2 instead of the standard 5:1. Transfers to Southwest Rapid Rewards are at a slightly better 5:2.5 ratio.<\/p>\n<p>However, the ratios are not outstanding. This program isn't generally as valuable as its rival Marriott. For reference, you can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/marriott-transfer-partners\/\" rel=\"noopener\">transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to nearly 40 airlines<\/a> at a 3:1 ratio and collect a 5,000-point bonus for every 60,000 points you transfer (to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/marriott-bonvoy\/marriott-scales-back-transfer-bonus\/\" rel=\"noopener\">almost every airline<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Choice_New_Airline_Transfer_Partner_History\">Choice New Airline Transfer Partner History<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Here's a brief history of when Choice added new airline transfer partners.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"March_2025_Choice_Privileges_adds_LifeMiles\">March 2025: Choice Privileges adds LifeMiles<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Starting March 25, travelers can now transfer Choice Privileges points to Avianca LifeMiles. As with most Choice transfer partners, the transfer rate is 5:1 with a minimum transfer of 5,000 Choice points. Above that minimum, you can transfer points in increments of 1,000 points. Gone are 6,500-mile domestic awards on United and 45k business class awards to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>However, you can still get value from LifeMiles on certain <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/avianca-lifemiles\/us-award-devaluation-2025\/\" rel=\"noopener\">7,500-mile domestic awards<\/a>, and LifeMiles remains one of the best ways to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/book-lufthansa-first-class-using-miles\/\" rel=\"noopener\">book Lufthansa First Class using miles<\/a> &#8212; especially on routes not touching the United States.<\/p>\n<p>It's also worth noting that Avianca often <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/avianca-lifemiles\/buy-lifemiles\/\" rel=\"noopener\">sells LifeMiles with a bonus or discount<\/a>. If you need to top off your LifeMiles account, it may be a better deal to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/blog\/link\/BuyLifeMiles\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored\">buy LifeMiles<\/a> than burn your Choice Privileges points.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"June_2024_Choice_Privileges_adds_Avios_programs\">June 2024: Choice Privileges adds Avios programs<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In June 2024, Choice added three Avios loyalty programs as transfer partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>British Airways Executive Club<\/li>\n<li>Iberia Plus<\/li>\n<li>Aer Lingus AerClub<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Points transfer at a 5:1 ratio in increments of 1,000 points with a minimum of 5,000 Choice points. And remember, you can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/how-to-transfer-avios-between-accounts\/\" rel=\"noopener\">transfer Avios for free between all programs that use the currency<\/a>. As such, this latest development makes Qatar Airways and Finnair unofficial de facto transfer partners for Choice Privileges points. Particularly with the option of transferring points in increments of 1,000 points, Choice is a good option if you\u2019re just a few miles short of an award and want to top off your account.<\/p>\n<p>But unless you're getting excellent value from an airline redemption, most travelers will still come out ahead using Choice points for hotel stays \u2014 especially in sweet-spot cities like Tokyo and Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s great to see Choice continue to expand its transfer options. While the 5:1 transfer ratio won't win any awards, having more ways to use your points adds flexibility \u2014 and that\u2019s always a good thing. Just make sure to crunch the numbers before pulling the trigger on a transfer.
