That same flight will soon cost 125,000 miles \u2014 a 47% increase. Be sure to avoid \u201cWaitlist\u201d dates since these awards don't offer a confirmed seat.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Which_Japan_Airlines_Awards_Should_You_Book_Before_the_Devaluation\">Which Japan Airlines Awards Should You Book Before the Devaluation?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The upcoming devaluation isn't limited to flights between North America and Japan. All of JAL\u2019s award charts are being updated on June 10, 2025, with First Class seeing the steepest increases.<\/p>\n<p>Take, for example, a First Class flight from Tokyo (HND) to Sydney (SYD). That means premium cabin space might show up on JAL\u2019s site before it appears through Alaska or American Airlines \u2014 or not show up at all elsewhere.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Best_Ways_to_Earn_Japan_Airlines_Mileage_Bank_Miles\">Best Ways to Earn Japan Airlines Mileage Bank Miles<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This is where it gets tricky. Japan Airlines isn\u2019t a partner of any major <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/travel\/types-of-rewards-points\/\" rel=\"noopener\">transferable credit card points<\/a> program \u2014 and that\u2019s why it tends to be overlooked.
