Compared to some of the other larger airlines, United's miles offer considerable flexibility, given that members have access to over 30 partner airlines and more than 1,000 destinations worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, United does not pass on surcharges on its award flights. Therefore, the out-of-pocket costs for a miles redemption are minimal, even in business class. For example, you could fly from Chicago to Brussels, in lie-flat Polaris business class seats, for just 80,000 miles plus $5.90 in fees.
