We've updated the post below to reflect this new earning rate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bilt Rewards has made a splash in the loyalty world, largely thanks to the ability to earn valuable points on rent payments with no transaction fees. And ahead of the next <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/bilt-rewards\/bilt-rent-day\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Rent Day<\/a>, Bilt has made paying rent with the credit card of your choice even more rewarding.<\/p>\n<p>You can now use any credit card to pay rent and earn Bilt Points on top of your card\u2019s regular rewards. But should you pay rent with just any credit card? And that's a pretty big deal.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, using a card other than The Bilt Mastercard<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> meant you\u2019d pay a 3% transaction fee and earn just 250 Bilt Points per rent payment. The <a data-ccid=\"4048132\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/alaska-atmos-rewards\/alaska-airlines-credit-card\/\">Atmos\u2122 Rewards Ascent Visa Signature<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> card<\/a> also still <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/bilt-rewards\/transfer-bilt-points-to-alaska\/\" rel=\"noopener\">earns 3X Mileage Plan miles per dollar on rent<\/a>, plus the same 3% transaction fee (but no additional Bilt Points). And ACH and other eligible payment methods continue to earn a flat 250 Bilt Points per transaction.<\/p>\n<p>If you pay rent using the Bilt Mastercard, nothing is changing for you. You\u2019ll continue to earn 1X Bilt Points per dollar with no transaction fees, as long as you make at least five purchases per statement period.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Should_You_Pay_Rent_With_a_Card_Other_Than_the_Bilt_Mastercard\">Should You Pay Rent With a Card Other Than the Bilt Mastercard?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For those without a Bilt Mastercard, the 3% transaction fee will likely cancel out most of the extra rewards earned through this new offering. Still, there are situations where it could make sense to pay rent with a different credit card.<\/p>\n<p>One is when you're working toward a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/best-credit-card-offers\/\" rel=\"noopener\">sign-up bonus<\/a>, like on the <a data-ccid=\"2061159\" href=\"\/blog\/link\/ChaseSapphirePreferredCard\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored\">Chase Sapphire Preferred<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Card<\/a>  (<a data-ccid=\"2061159\" href=\"https:\/\/click.linksynergy.com\/fs-bin\/click?id=g3lR0xvjyAU&offerid=1753725.10005147&type=3&subid=03cd849ac7b9f9abd0f13fd46bdee971b&subid=639396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rates & Fees<\/a>).
