It doesn't have a built-in tracker on your account homepage like some other issuers, so you have to do some digging.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Track_your_progress_via_new_Amex_welcome_offer_tracker\">Track your progress via new Amex welcome offer tracker<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>According to some reports in mid-August, Amex added a new welcome offer tracker to the online dashboard. This feature will likely be slow to roll out, so don't worry if you don't see it in your account just yet. As of now, it's only available online, and not in the Amex app. It's also only available when earning a welcome bonus for select cards.<\/p>\n<p>The tracker seems to mimic ones offered by other credit card issuers. It tells you how much your welcome offer is, how much you've spent towards the offer, how much you have left to spend, and how long you have to earn it.<\/p>\n<p>This update comes around the same time as a refresh of the account dashboard. But unfortunately, even after logging in, it just pulled up the cardholder homepage without a tracker. Since several Amex cards have benefits dependent on spending requirements, you can use those trackers to plan out your welcome offer.<\/p>\n<p>First, log in to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/americanexpress.com\" rel=\"noopener\">AmericanExpress.com<\/a>. Note that the annual fee is included in the &#8220;total spending&#8221; amount, but annual fees don't count toward your welcome offer, so you'll still need to do a little math.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Track_your_progress_using_the_Amex_app\">Track your progress using the Amex app<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Tracking your Amex welcome bonus progress through the app is essentially the same as doing it online. Since it's a tracker for a different benefit, it'll give you a good idea of how much you've spent on your Amex card so far, but you shouldn't use it as a guarantee. It's always better to spend a little more than you need to earn the welcome offer, just in case you don't eliminate ineligible charges.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Track_your_progress_using_AwardWallet\">Track your progress using AwardWallet<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We would be remiss if we didn't tell you how to track your card spending right in AwardWallet! Using the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/transactions\/\" rel=\"noopener\">AwardWallet Transaction Analyzer<\/a>, you can see exactly how much you've spent on a card for a particular time period.
