The benefits of the Atmos Summit card\u00a0easily outweigh the cost, especially compared to many other premium credit cards.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Welcome_bonus\">Welcome bonus<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Everybody loves a new credit card bonus. Here\u2019s what the Atmos Summit card is offering: 100,000 bonus points and a 25,000 point Global Companion Awardafter spending $6,500 or more on purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account, plus a 50% flight discount code for a qualifying future flight.<\/p>\n<p>If you <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/credit-cards\/alaska-airlines-premium-card\/\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-registered your interest in late 2024<\/a> and applied through the link sent to your email, you can snag an extra 5,000 bonus points upon approval. And they're not limited to just Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines flights. They\u2019re also valid on all of Alaska\u2019s Oneworld partners and unique global partners.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>25,000-point Companion Certificate:<\/strong> Earned with qualifying spend on new accounts and again each year when you renew your card. It takes 25,000 points off a companion\u2019s award ticket.<\/li>\n<li><strong>100,000-point Companion Certificate:<\/strong> Earned after $60,000 in spend within a cardmember year. This version is especially valuable for premium cabin redemptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To see how the 100,000-point Companion Certificate works, take a roundtrip business class award between Seattle and Tokyo-Narita, which can price as low as 120,000 points per person. You\u2019d redeem 120,000 points for your own seat, and your companion\u2019s ticket would cost just 20,000 points with the Global Companion Award. Taxes and fees still apply and must be paid with your card, but that\u2019s not a big ask.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Free_checked_bags_priority_boarding\">Free checked bags, priority boarding<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You and up to six companions on the same reservation get a free checked bag on Alaska and Hawaiian-operated flights, along with early group boarding on Alaska when tickets are purchased with the card. With checked bags priced at $35 each, this perk can amount to meaningful savings quickly.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Earning_rates\">Earning rates<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019ll earn unlimited 3 points per dollar on eligible purchases with Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, dining, and purchases made outside the United States, plus 1 point per dollar on everything else. If you also have an eligible Bank of America account, you\u2019ll get a 10% rewards bonus on all points earned from card purchases via the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/bank-of-america\/preferred-rewards-guide\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Preferred Rewards program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike many cards that restrict dining or travel bonuses to U.S. merchants, this card gives you 3x points worldwide. You will still need to pay those taxes and fees, which can be several hundred dollars on flights like British Airways business class, for example.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Alaska_Lounge_Passes\">Alaska Lounge Passes<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Lounges have become a major focus for airlines, giving travelers a much-needed escape from the chaos of the airport. Even a short visit before a flight can completely change your travel experience.<\/p>\n<p>With the Atmos\u2122 Rewards Summit Visa Infinite<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Card, you\u2019ll receive eight day passes each cardmember year to use at any Alaska Airlines lounge. For every $2 spent on purchases, you\u2019ll earn 1 status point toward elite qualification.<\/p>\n<p>The current qualification levels for 2025 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MVP = 20,000 miles<\/li>\n<li>MVP Gold = 40,000 miles<\/li>\n<li>MVP Gold 75k = 75,000 miles<\/li>\n<li>MVP Gold 100k = 100,000 miles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These thresholds will stay in place through 2025. Beginning in 2026, elite tiers will officially transition to the new Atmos program levels and the requirements for the upper tiers will increase:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Atmos Silver = 20,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Atmos Gold = 40,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Atmos Platinum = 80,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Atmos Titanium = 135,000 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each year on your cardmember anniversary, once you pay the annual fee, you\u2019ll also receive 10,000 status points automatically. That means if you pay your renewal and spend $20,000 on the card, you\u2019ll have Atmos Silver status without taking a single flight.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Travel_delay_credit\">Travel delay credit<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>For the first time, an airline credit card is offering an instant voucher when your flight is delayed. If your same-day Alaska Airlines flight is delayed by more than two hours for any reason, or if it is canceled within 24 hours of departure, you\u2019ll automatically receive a $50 voucher.<\/p>\n<p>The voucher is valid for 48 hours and is linked to your Atmos Summit card. These can be friends, family, or fellow cardholders. And you can move points back and forth between accounts with no fees.<\/p>\n<p>Many airlines allow point transfers only with restrictions or added costs.
