And if you didn't know, the hotel giant has a preferred partnership with Miles & More, the loyalty program for Lufthansa, SWISS, and other European carriers.<\/p>\n<p>The tie-up gives travelers a way to earn towards Miles & More elite status through stays and unlock complimentary <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/elite-status\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott Bonvoy<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> elite status<\/a>. Here\u2019s what you need to know about Marriott\u2019s partnership with the Lufthansa Group and how to participate.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"MarriottLufthansa_Partnership_Status_Matches_Bonus_Rewards_and_More\">Marriott\u2013Lufthansa Partnership: Status Matches, Bonus Rewards, and More<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott Bonvoy<\/a> and Lufthansa Miles & More have a preferred partnership, and the benefits have been live since September 15, 2025. To participate, you can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/marriottbonvoy.com\/milesandmore\" rel=\"noopener\">link your loyalty accounts<\/a> and start enjoying limited perks.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits are only somewhat similar to other preferred partnerships, such as <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/travel\/marriott-united-rewardsplus-partnership\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott\u2019s tie-up with United MileagePlus<\/a>. But there are a few key differences, so don\u2019t assume it works exactly the same.<\/p>\n<p>In short, here are the benefits of the Marriott and Miles & More partnership based on your memberships and statuses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Marriott Bonvoy members:<\/strong> Earn 40 Miles & More Points per qualifying stay (no minimum stay requirement), up to a maximum of 120 Points per year. Marriott\u2019s preferred partnership with Lufthansa Miles & More isn\u2019t on the same level as its preferred partnership with United MileagePlus.<\/p>\n<p>For example, this partnership doesn\u2019t offer reciprocal earning opportunities; you can\u2019t earn Lufthansa Miles & More miles when you stay at a Marriott property by selecting Miles & More as your preferred earning partner. And you can\u2019t earn Marriott Bonvoy points on flights with Lufthansa Group carriers. So, whether this partnership is worth your time really depends on your elite status goals this year.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, if you already hold Senator or HON Circle status with Miles & More \u2014 or Frequent Traveller status and the Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card (issued by Deutsche Bank AG) \u2014 and don\u2019t have Marriott elite status, this partnership gives you an easy way to unlock some hotel perks without any extra effort.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For the right kind of traveler, Marriott\u2019s preferred partnership with the Lufthansa Group might come in handy. But unless you\u2019re chasing Miles & More elite status this year or you\u2019re a Senator or HON Circle member looking for Marriott Gold Elite benefits, there\u2019s not much to get excited about.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, this partnership expands in the future to include point transfers from Marriott to Miles & More, since those miles are notoriously difficult to earn.
