Around this time each year (or every few years), airlines with program updates for the year ahead start announcing them to give current and prospective elites a heads-up about what\u2019s coming. And JetBlue made such an announcement today, October 16, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>JetBlue revealed that it plans to make <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jetblue.com\/trueblue\/mosaic\/on-the-horizon-2026\" rel=\"noopener\">several changes to its Mosaic elite status program<\/a> and the benefits that come with it. Some of these changes are positive, while others are less so.<\/p>\n<p>To get you up to speed, let\u2019s take a closer look at what\u2019s changing in 2026. And to be honest, there\u2019s quite a bit to be excited about.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Extra_month_of_elite_status_perks\">Extra month of elite status perks<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>JetBlue Mosaic elite status is only as valuable as the time you get to enjoy its benefits. One of JetBlue\u2019s most positive changes is extending the validity period of the status you\u2019ve earned.<\/p>\n<p>If you currently hold Mosaic status, your benefits will now run through January 31, 2026, instead of ending on December 31, 2025 \u2014 and it'll be like this in the years ahead. Both elite tiers are getting a bump in their earning rates, up from the current 3X TrueBlue points per dollar spent when booking on jetblue.com or in the JetBlue app. Mosaic 3 members will earn 4X bonus <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/airlines\/jetblue-trueblue\/\" rel=\"noopener\">TrueBlue<\/a> points per dollar spent, while Mosaic 4 members will earn 5X.<\/p>\n<p>To put that into perspective, Mosaic 3 members will be able to earn up to 10 total points per dollar on JetBlue bookings, while Mosaic 4 members will earn up to 11X.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that Mosaic 1 and 2 members will continue to earn 3X bonus TrueBlue points per dollar spent, so there are no changes for those tiers.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"More_Move_to_Mint_Certificates\">More Move to Mint Certificates<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Starting in 2026, Mosaic 4 members will receive four Move to Mint certificates per year (up from two) along with complimentary lounge access once it launches &#8220;later this year,&#8221; meaning sometime in 2025.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Future_improvements_to_Perks_You_Pick\">Future improvements to Perks You Pick<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The last major changes coming are a bit vague, but there\u2019s something to look forward to beyond next year. JetBlue plans to roll out enhancements to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/airlines\/jetblue-trueblue\/jetblue-mosaic-benefits\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Perks You Pick<\/a> in 2027. This will include new perks and an easier way to choose them.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing is changing for 2026, but all perks selected in 2026 will only be valid through January 31, 2027.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Negative_JetBlue_Mosaic_Status_Changes\">Negative JetBlue Mosaic Status Changes<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Now that we\u2019ve covered the positive JetBlue Mosaic elite status changes, it\u2019s time to burst your bubble (sorry!). There are some negative changes coming, too, unfortunately.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Fewer_free_checked_bags_for_Mosaic_1\">Fewer free checked bags for Mosaic 1<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>JetBlue giveth elite benefits and JetBlue taketh them away. Or in this case, devalues them. However, this benefit will apply to fewer companions on your reservation.<\/p>\n<p>JetBlue says the change is intended to keep the benefit &#8220;more accessible,&#8221; but instead of covering up to eight travel companions, it will now extend to two companions for Mosaic 1 and 2 members, and four companions for Mosaic 3 and 4 members.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Fewer_free_drinks\">Fewer free drinks<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>At the time of writing, JetBlue offers up to three complimentary alcoholic drinks when flying in Core. But effective February 1, 2026, JetBlue will trim that allowance.<\/p>\n<p>Starting on that date, all Mosaic members will receive just one complimentary drink when flying in Core within the U.S. or west of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n<p>If there\u2019s any silver lining, you\u2019ll still enjoy additional complimentary alcoholic beverages when traveling in Even More Space, Mint, or on any JetBlue transatlantic flight. Plus, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/jetblue-trueblue\/jetblue-credit-card\/\" rel=\"noopener\">JetBlue credit card<\/a> holders will continue to get 50% off in-flight purchases, including alcohol. So, if you want to enjoy more than one drink, it\u2019ll at least cost you less than full price.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Lots of tweaks are coming to JetBlue Mosaic elite status in 2026. But if we had to describe them in one word, it would be \u201ctame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are a few positive changes (like an extension of the status validity period and the new Family Tiles benefit), but also some negative changes (fewer checked bags for Mosaic 1 members and fewer complimentary drinks, to name a couple).<\/p>\n<p>Many of these updates roll out on <strong>February 1, 2026<\/strong>, which gives you plenty of time to decide how you\u2019ll approach your flying next year.
