What Is Rove?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Let's start with the basics. Rove<\/a> is a transferable points program that lets you earn miles with your purchases. Unlike other, more well-known programs — like American Express Membership Rewards<\/a> or Chase Ultimate Rewards<\/a> — Rove isn\u2019t attached to a specific credit card with which you earn those points. Instead, Rove utilizes a travel and a shopping portal to track your spending and issue your hard-earned miles.<\/p>\n

The travel portal is really simple to use if you\u2019ve ever familiarized yourself with other portals like Chase Travel or Capital One Travel. Rove\u2019s shopping portal works much like other airline shopping portals or even Rakuten. And it offers both a website and a Chrome browser extension.<\/p>\n

All of the miles you earn with these purchases can be transferred out of Rove into multiple different programs. These transfers are where you\u2019ll see these miles truly take off, as value is generally outsized.<\/p>\n

Starting today, November 3, 2025<\/strong>, Rove is launching a new partnership with Miles & More, welcoming the program as its 13th transfer partner. This is not just a phenomenal addition to Rove\u2019s lineup but also the first time Miles & More has joined a transferable points program.<\/p>\n

Until now, the only ways to earn within the Miles & More universe were by crediting flights to the program, purchasing miles outright<\/a>, or using the Miles & More\u00ae<\/sup> World Elite Mastercard\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>. But with this game-changing move, Rove members can now transfer miles into Miles & More at a 1:1 ratio.<\/p>\n

Although you can sometimes book Lufthansa and SWISS award flights through partners, the award inventory is often limited. By using miles directly within Miles & More, you\u2019ll have access to the full inventory of seats as they become available, including Lufthansa First Class<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Airlines that use Miles & More as their loyalty program include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Eurowings, and more.<\/p>\n

But there are a few caveats to keep in mind on these redemptions. Miles & More requires at least 1,500 miles in your account to search for an award ticket. It\u2019s not unusual to see awards priced far below those thresholds \u2014 think 88 miles (yes, really) \u2014 so you might need to call to book.<\/p>\n

Just remember that taxes and fees on Miles & More awards can be steep, so it\u2019s best to price out awards before transferring Rove Miles to its new partner. Thankfully, Miles & More's customer service team is helpful when you call to ask about this.<\/p>\n
