Update: Bilt unveiled all of the details of its new cards here<\/a>. Existing cardholders could convert their card through February 1, 2026. The new cards are now open to new cardholders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It's official \u2014 “Bilt 2.0” is coming February 7, 2026<\/strong>. Although we don't have exact card details at this time, we do have more information about the timeline and what will happen to the existing The Bilt Mastercard\u00ae<\/sup>. Here's what you need to know.<\/p>\n

Existing Cardholders To Choose Between Three New Bilt 2.0 Cards<\/span><\/h2>\n

In early January, Bilt is slated to host a special event to unveil the details of the three new Bilt cards. As we learned back in July, the new Bilt cards will be issued by Cardless<\/a> and will have annual fees of $0, $95, and $495.<\/p>\n

After the event, existing Bilt Mastercard cardholders can select which of the new options is right for them. Don't worry \u2014 you won't be subject to a hard pull on your credit to switch to the new card. Then, you'll receive the new card by mail on February 7 so you can start using it the day it launches.<\/p>\n

Your card number will stay the same. Everything will transition to your new card without requiring any action on your part (other than selecting the card you want). This includes autopay subscriptions, digital wallets, and any saved payment methods.<\/p>\n

Starting at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, the Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard will be closed for new applications. If you're an existing cardholder, you can use your card through February 6th. If you choose to transition to the Bilt Card 2.0, you can transfer any balance from your old Wells Fargo account, subject to approval. However, most cardholders will likely choose to pay off their balance before transitioning.<\/p>\n

You will have the option to choose whether to close or keep your Wells Fargo account open. If you'd rather keep it open, the old account will automatically become an Wells Fargo Autograph\u00ae<\/sup> Card<\/a>(Rates & Fees<\/a>) card with a different card number. Be careful, though \u2014 this might prevent you from earning a welcome offer on the Wells Fargo Autograph in the future, at least for a few years.<\/p>\n

One of the most exciting new features of Bilt Card 2.0 is the ability to earn points on eligible mortgage payments. While we don't know much else, we know Bilt is a powerhouse.
