Just keep in mind that the rewards won\u2019t be as generous.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Key_Things_to_Know_About_Bilt_20\">Key Things to Know About Bilt 2.0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Bilt is calling the launch of its new cards and the transition to a revamped program &#8220;Bilt 2.0.&#8221; And with the move to new cards and some uncertainty around which core benefits (like paying rent without transaction fees) will carry over, we\u2019ll take this opportunity to walk through what we know and answer some of the common questions.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"How_will_I_earn_rewards_on_rent_and_mortgages\">How will I earn rewards on rent and mortgages?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the new iteration of Bilt Rewards, members will still be able to earn points on rent, as well as on any mortgage, with no transaction fee when using Bilt Cash as a Bilt cardholder.<\/p>\n<p>For cardholders, Bilt members can pay their rent or mortgage without tapping into their credit line. There\u2019s also no preset spending limit on housing payments and no annual cap on rent and mortgage earnings.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s where things get a bit confusing, though, since Bilt is advertising two different ways to pay your rent or mortgage with a Bilt credit card.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The no transaction fee option:<\/strong> You can redeem Bilt Cash for Bilt Points to unlock <em>up to 1X points<\/em> on rent or mortgage, at a redemption value of $30 in Bilt Cash to unlock 1,000 points. The more you spend, the more Bilt Cash you earn, and the more Bilt Points you can earn on your payments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The full points option:<\/strong> You can earn the full 1X points on your rent or mortgage, but if you don\u2019t have enough Bilt Cash to cover the 3% transaction fee, there\u2019s a option pay a 3% transaction fee to &#8220;buy&#8221; the difference to earn the full amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you pay your rent with a non-Bilt card, note that you can't use Bilt Cash to offset transaction fees associated with your rent or mortgage.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, unless you spend a lot on your Bilt card and earn a lot of Bilt Cash, you\u2019ll likely end up relying on the latter option. At most, you\u2019ll be able to roll over $100 in Bilt Cash to the following year, so it\u2019s worth using it in a way that makes the most sense for you.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Well, there you have it.
