But is it worth transferring your Capital One miles to Preferred Hotels during this transfer bonus? In recent AwardWallet testing, we found that <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/i-prefer-hotel-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">I Prefer points are only worth <strong>around 0.2 cents per point<\/strong><\/a>. At that rate, you can only expect to get around half a cent per point in value for every Capital One mile transferred during this 30% transfer bonus.<\/p>\n<p>You're much better off booking paid travel using your Capital One card and then redeeming points at one cent per mile to cover the cost of a hotel.<\/p>\n<p>By doing so, you aren't limited to just Preferred Hotels. Plus, you can earn bonus miles for booking the stay through the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/capital-one-travel-portal\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital One Travel portal<\/a>.
