It's no secret that Rove is one of our favorite new loyalty programs. That was true a week ago when Rove announced it was adding Japan Airlines Mileage Bank<\/a> as a 1:1 transfer partner, and it's especially true today, March 9, as it becomes the sole U.S. transfer partner for Scandinavian Airlines SAS EuroBonus.<\/p>\n

As of today, you can transfer your Rove Miles to SAS EuroBonus at a 1:1 ratio to unlock travel with Scandinavian Airlines and the SkyTeam partners.<\/p>\n

Rove Begins Transfers to SAS EuroBonus<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you aren't familiar with it, Rove<\/a>\u00a0allows members to earn transferable rewards on travel and shopping purchases. You can then redeem your rewards by transferring them to a variety of hotel and airline partners, including the newly added Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, as well as fan favorites like Turkish Airlines<\/a> and Qatar Airways<\/a>. Its latest airline transfer partner is SAS EuroBonus, the loyalty program of Scandinavian Airlines. The partnership is officially live, which means you can transfer your Rove Miles to SAS EuroBonus at a 1:1 ratio.<\/p>\n

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. It also famously switched from Star Alliance to SkyTeam<\/a> in 2024. Although less popular than fellow European SkyTeam members like Air France<\/a>, SAS is a great airline to be familiar with. The airline currently flies to more than 125 destinations throughout Europe, the U.S., Africa, and Asia.<\/p>\n

Scandinavian Airlines award chart<\/span><\/h3>\n

Since there aren't any credit card point currencies in the U.S. that transfer to SAS, you might not be as familiar with SAS EuroBonus or know how many points are required for an award redemption. One-way, short-haul flights between Oslo (OSL) and Copenhagen (CPH) might cost around 10,000 EuroBonus points. Or, long-haul flights between the U.S. and Europe start at just 30,000 EuroBonus points in economy or 60,000 points in business.<\/p>\n

What really makes SAS stand out is the fact that the airline does not impose any additional fuel surcharges on award redemptions, which means taxes and fees should stay low. This is a stark difference from airlines like British Airways, which are known for imposing very high fuel surcharges on redemptions<\/a>. Yes, you're reading the screenshot above correctly. A one-way flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Copenhagen (CPH) would cost 30,000 points, plus just 4.82\u20ac ($5.60) in taxes and fees.<\/p>\n

For reference, SAS publishes an award chart, although the zones might look a little different from what you're used to:<\/p>\n

Nordic+ includes countries like Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Keep in mind that this award chart is for “bonus” fares, which aren't always available. If not, you'd need to book a “flex” fare, which is substantially more expensive. Using the Atlanta to Copenhagen flight as an example, an Economy Bonus ticket is 30,000 points each way, while an Economy Flex is more than 204,000 points each way \u2014 almost 7X the bonus fare.<\/p>\n
