YOTEL has 23 properties across 10 countries, giving Hilton loyalists another option in several major cities and airport hubs.

The integration is now underway. YOTEL Club closed on July 15, 2026, and the first properties are already bookable through Hilton. Most YOTEL hotels are expected to join Hilton Honors by mid-September, while several others will follow in a later phase. Here’s what we know so far.

What Is YOTEL?

YOTEL is known for compact, tech-enabled rooms in major cities and at airports. The concept is similar to citizenM — which recently joined the Marriott portfolio — although YOTEL generally offers more room types, including suites at some properties.

Current locations include Amsterdam, Boston, Edinburgh, Geneva, Glasgow, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Miami, New York, Paris, Park City, Porto, San Francisco, Singapore, Tokyo, and Washington, D.C. Additional properties are in development or preparing to open in Athens, Bangkok, Belfast, Kuala Lumpur, Lisbon, and NEOM in Saudi Arabia.

One of YOTEL’s signature features is the SmartBed™, which can transform from a flat bed into a sofa at the touch of a button. Some properties also offer automated luggage storage for guests arriving before check-in or departing after checkout.

Credit: YOTEL</enter>

Introducing Select by Hilton

As part of the agreement, Hilton created Select by Hilton, a new umbrella brand for established independent hotel groups. Former members should have received instructions for joining Hilton Honors and claiming a personalized welcome offer. However, YOTEL has made clear that the two programs have different benefits, so this isn’t a like-for-like conversion.

Hilton Honors points and elite benefits become available only after an individual hotel transitions to Hilton’s systems. Until then, existing direct bookings continue to receive YOTEL Club benefits.

Existing reservations made directly through YOTEL may become eligible for Hilton Honors benefits after the hotel transitions. If the reservation details match the guest’s Hilton Honors account, the stay should appear automatically. If it doesn’t, the member can contact Hilton to have the reservation reviewed.

Hilton’s program terms now list YOTEL among the brands offering space-available room upgrades to Gold and Diamond members. Diamond members can receive upgrades up to a standard one-bedroom suite, although upgrades remain subject to availability and the hotel’s discretion.

What’s less clear is the on-property MyWay benefit. Hilton hasn’t yet published a YOTEL-specific benefit in its MyWay benefits chart, so we don’t know whether members will receive a daily food and beverage credit, a smaller welcome amenity, or another benefit. That may become clearer as more hotels complete the transition.

Bottom Line

YOTEL joining Hilton makes the brand much more useful for Hilton Honors members. Once a property completes the transition, travelers can earn and redeem points, receive elite benefits, and book through Hilton’s existing channels.

Still, there are a couple of caveats. YOTEL awards may not always provide strong value — as the early Miami example demonstrates — and members earn only 5 base points per $1 on the room rate. You’ll also want to confirm that a specific hotel has completed the transition before assuming Hilton Honors benefits will apply.

For travelers who like compact, tech-forward hotels in city centers and airport locations, YOTEL is now worth keeping on the radar.

Page Contents

What Is YOTEL?

Introducing Select by Hilton

Redeeming Hilton points at YOTEL

Earning Hilton points at YOTEL

Hilton Honors elite benefits

Bottom Line

Hilton launched a new partnership with YOTEL in March, and its integration into Hilton Honors is well underway.
