American Express just revamped its lounge presence at New Delhi\u2019s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).<\/p>\n

On December 31, 2025, the issuer quietly closed its international Centurion Lounge\u00ae<\/sup> at IGIA (which AwardWallet was the first to catch<\/a>), then shortly thereafter announced plans to move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 and open an all-new space.<\/p>\n

And the issuer worked quickly to bring the new space to life. On March 31, 2026, the new location was added to Amex\u2019s \u201cCenturion Network\u201d website<\/a>, which means this new location is now open to eligible Card Members.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a peek inside the new Centurion Lounge DEL, along with details on its hours and access policies.<\/p>\n

Amex Opens New Centurion Lounge at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)<\/span><\/h2>\n

The new Amex Centurion Lounge DEL is officially open. And from the looks of it, it\u2019ll never close.<\/p>\n

This new lounge \u2014 located in Indira Gandhi International Airport\u2019s Terminal 1 (the airport\u2019s domestic terminal) on Level 4 near Gate 2 and the Security Hold Area \u2014 is open 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s rarely a lull in flights at DEL at any hour, so these hours make a lot of sense. That said, getting between terminals at DEL isn\u2019t the easiest process, so if you\u2019re flying out of a terminal other than T1, this might not be a lounge you can access with ease.<\/p>\n

But if you\u2019re able to pay a visit to the new IGIA Centurion Lounge, Amex noted in its press release<\/a> that Card Members can expect a contemporary design that celebrates \u201cthe richness of Indian artistry,\u201d including a custom installation using Batik techniques, dedicated work areas, and zones for rest and relaxation.<\/p>\n

The lounge also offers an area exclusively for those with the Centurion\u00ae<\/sup> Card from American Express, though details are slim on what this space looks like or what amenities these Card Members will have access to.<\/p>\n

The release also notes that the lounge offers \u201celevated dining and amenities,\u201d including a buffet with rotating offerings, a full-service bar with premium wines and spirits, to-go options, and more.<\/p>\n

International Centurion Lounges differ slightly from U.S. domestic Centurion Lounges<\/a>, though you should find plenty of similarities in the experience both at home and abroad.<\/p>\n

Amex Centurion Lounge DEL Access Policies<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Amex Centurion Lounge DEL is open not just to eligible American Express Card Members from India, but also to Card Members from around the world.<\/p>\n

That means if you have the American Express Platinum Card\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>, The Business Platinum Card\u00ae<\/sup> from American Express<\/a>, or the Amex Centurion Card and are transiting through IGIA, you can access the new Centurion Lounge.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s worth noting that guest policies at this international Centurion Lounge differ from most other Centurion Lounges:<\/p>\n
