The program has announced a new partnership with All Nippon Airways (ANA). This collaboration will offer points and miles earning, reciprocal elite status opportunities, and even points transfers. Here\u2019s what to know about this soon-to-launch partnership.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"IHG_and_ANA_Announce_Partnership_With_Reciprocal_Benefits\">IHG and ANA Announce Partnership With Reciprocal Benefits<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First things first: The program hasn\u2019t launched yet. According to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ihgplc.com\/en\/news-and-media\/news-releases\/2026\/ihg-hotels-and-resorts-and-all-nippon-airways-announce-milestone-loyalty-partnership\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, the partnership will go live \u201cafter October.\u201d When it does, members of both programs will be able to double dip on points and miles earned across All Nippon Airways\u2019 network of 40 cities and 55 routes.<\/p>\n<p>This means that while the partnership will allow members to earn both ANA miles and IHG points on ANA flights, members of the two programs won't be able to do the same on paid IHG stays.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a bit different from other <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/travel\/airline-hotel-earning-partnerships\/\" rel=\"noopener\">reciprocal earning partnerships<\/a> we\u2019ve seen across hotel loyalty programs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_259514\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-aspectratio=\"750\/422\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-259514 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/ana.jpg\" alt=\"ana ihg press event\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/ana.jpg 770w, https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/ana-750x422.jpg 750w, https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/ana-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><center><em>Credit: IHG<\/em><\/enter><\/figure>\n<p>Instead, there will be a status match opportunity for ANA Mileage Club members after linking their accounts. Here\u2019s how ANA elite tiers will map to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/ihg-one-rewards\/ihg-elite-status\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IHG One Rewards status<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ANA Mileage Club Bronze \u2192 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/ihg-one-rewards\/silver-elite-benefits\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IHG One Rewards Silver Elite<\/a><\/li>\n<li>ANA Mileage Club Platinum \u2192 IHG One Rewards Gold Elite<\/li>\n<li>ANA Mileage Club Diamond \u2192 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/ihg-one-rewards\/ihg-platinum-elite\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite<\/a><\/li>\n<li>ANA Mileage Club Diamond + More \u2192 IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To unlock IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite through this match, AMC members will also need to complete two elite-qualifying nights.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind, there\u2019s already another shortcut to IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite status: credit card spending. We have a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/ihg-one-rewards\/ihg-diamond-via-credit-cards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">full guide on that handy shortcut<\/a>, but if you hold an IHG co-branded credit card or the <a data-ccid=\"4048084\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/chase-ultimate-rewards\/sapphire-reserve\/\">Chase Sapphire Reserve<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> (<a data-ccid=\"4048084\" href=\"https:\/\/click.linksynergy.com\/fs-bin\/click?id=g3lR0xvjyAU&offerid=1975477.10005148&type=3&subid=0c0f9f824547d7cd921c8ac3d8c8f4509&subid=639396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rates & Fees<\/a>), that may be the more practical option for U.S.-based travelers.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Two-way_points_transfers\">Two-way points transfers<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Finally, the new partnership will allow ANA Mileage Club miles to be converted into IHG One Rewards points.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, IHG members can convert points to ANA miles at a 5:1 ratio, with transfers required in 10,000-point increments. At the time of writing, we're not quite sure what transfers in the other direction will look like.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re already flying All Nippon Airways on paid fares, this partnership should help you earn more IHG One Rewards points. That said, the benefits are clearly tilted toward ANA\u2019s own elites. There\u2019s currently no path for IHG elites to earn ANA status in return, and the ability to convert IHG points to ANA miles already existed before this partnership was announced.<\/p>\n<p>Still, something is better than nothing. If you live in or frequently travel to Japan on ANA, this partnership should boost your IHG earnings and could open the door to a new status match.
