The new changes see a “sub-tier” of benefits added at 1,500 Club Points. New perks include:<\/p>\n At 2,250 points, Elite Plus members will see even more perks. It not only encourages existing Celebrity lovers to keep sailing with Celebrity, but also gives them a reason to credit other Royal Caribbean Group sailings to their Captain's Club account via Points Choice. Plus, a specialty lunch on any day of every sailing (I'm assuming only once per cruise) adds more flexibility.<\/p>\n Overall, these changes are interesting ones, but still require a lot of sailing to take advantage of all the perks. Celebrity is aware that they need to keep cruisers engaged with its program to prevent them from sailing with a competitor.<\/p>\n Perhaps the most interesting aspect is that this announcement is all positive news for\u00a0Celebrity loyalists since Celebrity is adding benefits without increasing published tier thresholds or removing existing perks. The most useful additions are the extra Premium Wi-Fi minutes at higher Elite Plus thresholds and the specialty dining perks for top-tier members.<\/p>\n That said, this update is unlikely to move the needle for most occasional cruisers.
