However, that <em>doesn't<\/em> mean you can save $3,000 by paying with your Capital One Venture X. Instead, you get a 20% discount on the\u00a0<em>initiation fee<\/em>, which costs $9,500.<\/p>\n<p>That means you can save $1,900 on the fee, but you will still pay the standard $5,500 rate for annual dues. You can save 20% and get a week-long booking for free. However, if you weren't planning to sign up for Inspirato, I'm not sure the math works out to justify a membership, even with this promotion.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Odds are, most people won't take advantage of this new partnership. A 20% discount and a free stay offer a slight reprieve from the $15,000 standard list price, but it's likely still out of reach for award travelers accustomed to using points and miles to access luxury experiences.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, you'll still pay $13,100 for a one-year membership. Even if you book a villa valued at around $8,000, it's a lot of money to charge to your Capital One Venture X at one time.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, Capital One Venture X cardholders earn 2X miles per $1 spent on all purchases, so after the discount, you'll earn 26,200 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/capital-one-rewards\/capital-one-transfer-partners\/\" rel=\"noopener\">transferable Capital One miles<\/a>.
