Leaders Club points are unusually valuable: In recent AwardWallet searches, we found <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/leading-hotels-of-the-world\/\" rel=\"noopener\">LHW redemptions returning between 6.5 and 9.4 cents per point<\/a>. At those rates, transferring 1,000 Amex points could yield roughly $16\u2013$24 in hotel value &#8212; or around 1.6 to 2.4 cents per point.<\/p>\n<p>AwardWallet users have averaged 2\u00a2 per Amex point in recent redemptions. So this isn\u2019t an automatic win.\u00a0Some Leaders Club redemptions will beat that benchmark, while others will fall short.<\/p>\n<p>For reference, LHW is also a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/citi-thankyou-rewards\/citi-transfer-partners\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Citi ThankYou transfer partner<\/a> &#8212; having been <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/news\/citi-thankyou-rewards\/transfer-citi-points-leading-hotels-of-the-world\/\" rel=\"noopener\">added back in October 2023<\/a>. However, the transfer ratio for that partnership is slightly worse at 5:1.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bottom_Line\">Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s good to see American Express add a transfer partner &#8212; particularly after trimming its transfer roster last month and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/news\/amex-membership-rewards\/cathay-pacific-transfer-devaluation\/\" rel=\"noopener\">cutting transfer ratios on Cathay Pacific<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/news\/amex-membership-rewards\/emirates-transfer-devaluation\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Emirates<\/a> in the past year. While Leaders Club won\u2019t be useful for every traveler, its collection of distinctive luxury hotels and potentially valuable redemptions make this a meaningful addition.<\/p>\n<p>Just avoid transferring speculatively.
