Delta Restricts SkyMiles Access to Passengers Aboard Flight 591<\/span><\/h2>\n

Delta temporarily restricted access to SkyMiles<\/a> accounts for passengers who were on Delta flight 591 from Las Vegas (LAS) to Atlanta (ATL) on August 10, 2026. On this flight, an unauthorized Wi-Fi network called Delta WiFi Fast appeared, causing flight attendants to temporarily disconnect Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, DEF CON 34 \u2014 a cybersecurity and hacking conference \u2014 was held in Las Vegas on August 6-9, so a passenger was likely an attendee of that conference. Delta says there was no evidence of a hack of any Delta system.<\/p>\n

According to reports on Reddit<\/a>, passengers on the plane received the following message when trying to log in to their SkyMiles account:<\/p>\n

“To keep your information safe, we\u2019ve temporarily restricted access to your account. Please note that these actions are a precaution and not the result of any breach of Delta or vendor systems.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It's not clear how long the accounts were restricted or what other action, if any, Delta will take to prevent this from happening in the future.<\/p>\n

Revolut To Open Copenhagen Lounge and Partner With Preferred Hotels<\/span><\/h2>\n

Revolut is a digital banking platform that lets you hold money in multiple currencies and send international transfers. The fintech giant is stepping further into the travel space by introducing its first-ever branded airline lounge in Copenhagen (CPH) in 2027. When it launches, it'll be the largest common-use lounge in the Schengen area. Plaza Premium Group<\/a> will operate the lounge, but we don't know much else yet.<\/p>\n

In addition, Revolut is introducing transfers to Preferred Hotels and Resorts I Prefer<\/a> for UK accounts. You'll be able to transfer your RevPoints at a 1:2 ratio. And through August 30, 2026, Revolut accounts in Ireland, the UK, and Spain can unlock a 20% transfer bonus to Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, and Vueling Avios.<\/p>\n
