Last year, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/news\/united-mileageplus\/new-routes-2026\/\" rel=\"noopener\">United announced four new routes<\/a> that started early this summer, including Split and Bari. Now, United is back with more unique locations planned for 2027 to whet your travel appetite.<\/p>\n<p>Ten new destinations will begin service in May 2027 \u2014 nine in Europe, plus one Asian destination. In addition to the new destinations, United will introduce three new routes to destinations it already serves. If you are looking for inspiration for a trip next summer, here are all the details.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"New_United_Destinations_for_Summer_2027\">New United Destinations for Summer 2027<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Beginning as early as March 2027, United will service the following new destinations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Okinawa, Japan (OKA)<\/li>\n<li>Olbia, Italy (OLB)<\/li>\n<li>Terceira, Portugal (TER)<\/li>\n<li>Toulouse, France (TLS)<\/li>\n<li>Valencia, Spain (VLC)<\/li>\n<li>Luxembourg City, Luxembourg (LUX)<\/li>\n<li>Catania, Italy (CTA)<\/li>\n<li>Ibiza, Spain (IBZ)<\/li>\n<li>Ljubljana, Slovenia (LJU)<\/li>\n<li>Marseille, France (MRS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To make things more exciting, seven of these routes cannot currently be reached non-stop from the U.S. on any other airline. Five of them will be flown on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/airlines\/american-aadvantage\/a321xlr-economy-review\/\" rel=\"noopener\">United's new A321XLR<\/a>. According to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/united-adds-10-international-cities-for-2027-largest-expansion-in-airlines-history-302859320.html\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, United will serve more destinations in\u00a0Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France than any other U.S. carrier.<\/p>\n<p>This expansion is exciting for U.S. travelers &#8212; especially award travelers &#8212; as it brings several new locations within reach without having to connect in Europe. Let's look at a couple of examples.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Newark_to_Luxembourg\">Newark to Luxembourg<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To fly eight hours from Newark to Luxembourg, you'll spend 40,000 miles in economy. It's 10% cheaper for <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/united-mileageplus\/united-credit-card-award-space\/\" rel=\"noopener\">United credit card holders<\/a>. United Airlines is helping travelers by offering even more options to Europe and Asia. Access to these more remote, yet popular, cities via non-stop flights is a big win for U.S.-based travelers.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you accumulate United miles through flights or\u00a0transfer your <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/chase-ultimate-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Chase Ultimate Rewards<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/bilt-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Bilt Points<\/a>, there are plenty of ways to acquire miles to book these flights starting in Summer 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The only downside is that we aren't seeing much business class saver award availability right now.
