It feels like we're playing a bad game of dominoes. Today, the new 4:3 transfer ratio to World of Hyatt for select Chase cardholders<\/a> — including the Chase Sapphire Preferred\u00ae<\/sup> Card<\/a> — took effect.<\/p>\n

Now, we just learned that Bilt is devaluing transfers to World of Hyatt<\/a> from 1:1 to 4:3 effective January 1, 2027<\/strong>. Here's what to know.<\/p>\n

Bilt To Devalue Hyatt Transfers in 2027<\/span><\/h2>\n

Bilt has historically been somewhat of a buffer among transferable point currencies. When seemingly every other program devalues a transfer ratio, Bilt holds strong.<\/p>\n

For instance, in 2025, American Express, Capital One, and Citi all devalued transfers to Emirates Skywards — while Chase removed Emirates as a partner entirely<\/a>. However, you can still transfer your Bilt Points to Emirates at a 1:1 ratio. Unfortunately, Bilt's determination to avoid devaluing transfer ratios appears to be crumbling.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the screenshot below, the World of Hyatt partner page on Bilt's website now displays the following message:<\/p>\n

“The transfer ratio for World of Hyatt will change to 4:3 beginning January 1, 2027.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When Chase devalued transfers to Hyatt, it only impacted select cards. Premium Chase Sapphire Reserve\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> cardholders can continue to transfer to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.<\/p>\n

Bilt isn't extending the same generosity to its premium cardholders. This update impacts Bilt Points<\/a> earned through Bilt's neighborhood partners as well as all Bilt cardholders<\/a>:<\/p>\n
